US may have killed Quds Force Commander Qasem Soleimani

I don't have a problem with us taking this POS out, the world is better off. BUT Trump & Co better have a plan for the aftermath that doesn't include war with Iran.

I don't think Iran will launch an invasion of Iraq but I could see and expect to see some sort of retaliation. They will probably try to strike some of our ships in the gulf or lob some missiles at our bases in Iraq.

I ironically came across this video a few days ago and found it interesting. For anyone who wants a bit more information on how Iran’s physical geography compares to Iraq and it’s neighbors, this is quite informative. Based off knowledge from this, I highly doubt Iran will send troops to Iraq. The title of the video is a bit deceiving.

How long before the Trump leg-humpers accuse her of being radical islamic terrorist? Guessing it'll start in 3, 2, 1 ....

All partisan bs aside , no matter who is sitting in the oval , that would be a very tough decision and a lot of things to weigh out before giving the nod or letting the opportunity go . I’m guessing these are the types of decisions that make presidents grey headed .
You misspelled orange.

We are not or I at least hope we're smart enough to not attempt an invasion of Iran. You and carlos are the only ones here that keep that narrative alive.

I think a target that is the unquestioned leader of the best funded, state backed terror organization on Earth is simply a target of opportunity. No further justification needed other than us knowing when and where he was going to be in a very vulnerable position.

It was discussed here at length when the IRG was added as a known terrorist organization. We knew what that meant. It meant they are never safe. Ever. 24/7/365. It means that if we have the opportunity, they die . Their position on that list is very well earned in blood...and after all the sabre rattling and outright sheit talking Iran has done lately...we sent a message loud and clear. Saddam was defiant too...until he was swinging by his neck before his own people.

I dont think a whole lot will come of this. I understand that I am in the minority. I dont believe that Iran is going to strike a US force or Israeli force outright with conventional military forces. They will continue to fund terror behind the scenes...and that's about it. Nothing new under the sun.

The real question is who sold them out and gave our side the intel to have us know exactly where and when these 2 clowns were going to meet? Somebody did. Nobody would discuss that meeting in that much detail over the phone etc IMO....somebody had to tell. I would not be at all surprised to see an Israeli strike on an Iranian nuclear facility in the very near future. They will not be allowed to keep enriching Uranium. Period. Go Vols

Do you think that this is the first time that we've been able to get him?

Or that this is the first time where Trump thought that the benefit to him, personally, was worth the risk to everyone else?

A lot of people are wondering what was Soleimani doing in Iraq and what was his relationship with the Iraqi government. Qasem Soleimani and Iran gained huge amounts of influence in Iraq because they were the first to respond to the ISIS in Iraq. Both Abu Mahdi al-Mohandas and Soleimani took part in planning and executing the campaign to recapture Mosul.
