My point, and I know you get it, is that we would consider an assassination of one of our generals an attack on the US. To not acknowledge that it flows both ways is disingenuous. Nobody thinks they are the bad guys. Every country has justifications for their actions And many of those justifications are legitimate... on both sides.

I think you're getting you panties all twisted up over nothing. I haven't seen anyone in here say that Iran doesn't, wouldn't or shouldn't consider it an attack on them. It's up to Iran to decide how they handle it just as if it were one of ours.

The guy was a terrorist, there is NO disputing that. He was meeting with leaders of other terrorist groups and there is NO disputing that. He is responsible for the deaths of many US Soldiers and innocents in the ME, there is NO disputing that. And if this attack leads to another war over there it will lead to Trumps defeat in November.

I know if I had my way I would take every cargo plane we own and pack up our troops and equipment at every base or post in europe the middle east and africa. I'd have the last general do a Nixon salute and say see ya bitches.

many right wingers in Congress have claimed he was worse than Bin Laden, but of course that is silly comparison. Most of the attacks have come since Trump was POTUS. That being said, it's a good thing we got this guy. I just wish we weren't so disorganized and chaotic about our strategy moving forward. I'm a big fan of Esper, but I'm not so sure he and Trump will agree on strategic planning

Look, you may not think impeachment is a big deal, but it is BLATANTLY OBVIOUS that Trump is obsessed with discrediting it because it hurts his ego.

So he kills this guy. Out of the blue to serve as a distraction from impeachment process? Or because Soleimani represented an imminent threat of an attack on US forces or personnel?

Those seem to be the only two options. Trump claimed up and down, as did his administration , that it was because of an imminent threat. They in fact used that phrase, over and over.

Back off of that now and Trump looks quite the fool, as do those of you who seem to support this with no reservation at all as to why this, why now.
