It's a provocative gesture and you know it! It's past time we make diplomatic moves instead of forceful ones.

Mhm, yeah we should do the peaceful thing and build an island 100 miles off the Chinese shore. See how they like it. China said they are keeping water ways open. And from some of the reports of people who have been there that is not the case. We put their statement to the test and it is ringing incredibly hollow.
You're simply too dumb to talk to. Creating your own islands in disputed territory, in the middle of popular international shipping and military travel lanes, claiming them as your own while militarizing them and then telling everyone else to stay away is provocative.
Not traveling where we've always travelled.
So is I either highlight the point that America could be far better or if I comment on how another country may be doing certain things right compared to us, does that mean that I need to leave the country?
I've often bad mouthed some folks in my family for doing stupid things, but that doesn't mean I want out of the family. It just means that I want family to do better... same is true with my comments regarding the US or any other country.
But you're not. You are gathering your facts from a new outlet that is controlled by a government. The fact is that another news source outside of RT reports the opposite and you claim Russia is right. I have no problem with the criticism of American politics. Also, I never told you to move.

What difference does it make if the news outlet is controlled by the. govt if the news group is reporting direct quotes?
How do you spin quotes?
and yet China is the only one that complains. hm.In addition to China, several nations in the region claim sovereignty over the Spratly Islands, including Brunei, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan and Vietnam.
We are not going to have a conflict with China but we can take certain measures which will be a disincentive to China to continue these kinds of activities, McCain said.

and here is an interesting article. https://www.rt.com/news/263173-china-weapons-island-pentagon/
warmongers going to warmonger. oh wait
The Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei and Taiwan also claim parts of the South China Sea. All these countries except Brunei have military fortifications in the major archipelago of Spratlys, which is supposed to have significant reserves of oil and natural gas.
1. It is their sovereign territory, not the case for china. 2. They are not making islands to put guns on them. 3. They don't react when we peacefully sail past, something we have done for a long time. China is freaking out is because this is the first time we have done it since they have been there. 4. Their islands, or most of them, have native populations there and therefore there is justification of something needed to be defended. The Chinese are boating people in to do their normal over-night ethnic equalling, when there was a population at all.Why is this not a problem?

Stopped at peacefully sailed by....
The "love boat" sailing by would be peaceful....
Did we sail erratically? Make evasive maneuvers? Hinder local shipping? Linger about the harbor? Devivate from the path? Tell the Chinese we were targeting them?
I didn't mind the Chinese sailing past the aleutian islands and that was way worse than this.
