So the elements for another USA game in which we just might end up on the losing end is there. However, I for one know darn well CBJ and company will have this team so hyped they'll come out pizzed off at everything. Fans who doubt and question them. USU Aggies who consider the Vols ripe for a MWC colonoscopy with a piece of barb wire attached to a porcupine wearing a camera. Sports writers who spout disrespect at them. Then there's the first game freight train rumble, severe weather thunder, and earthquake shake at Neyland Stadium stirring the Xenomorph blood transfusion Butch has put their bodies through.
The team comes out determined to make a statement that the dam that's held back the orange flood will receive it's first dynamiting "today."

So I'm glad the team won't have the overconfident and dangerous disregard for USU that you and other fans exhibit here. Cause it would get us keelhauled by a team that would use our own river and a boat from our own navy to do the job.

But of course, we had nothing to do with that? :crazy: Yes, they were 7-5 in the SEC that year, and what was Tennessee in the most recent season? :ermm: AU won because, frankly, they got lucky and we started celebrating early. My point was in response to a particular post saying (in so many words that Tennessee would dominate us). Our performance against AU (and Wisconsin and USC and Oklahoma) suggests that is an unlikely scenario.

They play 13 games this season - not including the MWC title game or the NC and playoffs if they go undefeated and 12 other teams come down with the bubonic plague.

The least you could do before you quote off someone to take a jab at them is take the five seconds and fact check.

You're right. I don't keep up with the baby conferences so I assumed they play 12 like the majority of other teams.

Sorry for hurting your feelings. Wipe your tears off your keyboard, it was a pretty reasonable assumption.

i dont understand how telling me how you almost beat AU three yrs ago has anything to do with 2014 season. Almost all those players are gone and so are the coaches. You also lost the game. theres nothing to talk about.

Auburn only scored more points vs UVA. Even Samford and FAU gave up less points than USU did. Auburn had a really rough year.

Do you seriously think that if USU went 14-0 this season that they would be in the new Playoff system for the NC Game.

NO.

I am Not sure you make it to one of the high end bowl games.

hogs use smell to locate food, so even a blind hog would have no trouble finding an acorn. If your going to use some redneck saying to try and talk smack, at least use one that makes some amount of sense.

God I hate when we play these scrubs that think because they can work up a half decent record in their scrub conference, that all of a sudden they can play with the SEC in the first game of the year. Cause then we have to deal with the 4 fans they have the entire summer. :eek:lol:

I really hope your attitude and hubris don't reflect your entire fan base. I was actually looking forward to coming to Knoxville and chatting and tailgating with some cool Tennessee fans.

Yes, I know there have been some obnoxious USU fans on the board (including me). I can understand a Tennessee fan's point of view: better conference, better athletes, better competition. You think you'll blow us out, I can accept that.

If you can't accept when the competitive fire in a person/fan comes and says, hey you're not going to blow us out and points out reasons why they think that way… well I guess no one's mind is going to be changed here from a message board.

Got a friend that's a UCLA alum and his brother started QB for them the year they beat Tennessee in Neyland. He went to the game and had rave reviews about the fans, environment, food, everything. I was just pouting :cray:. I am over it I promise, I remembered I had balls and anonymous message board posters can say anything.

Born and raised in Las Vegas, been around gambling and sports betting my whole life. Oddsmakers set lines that are 90% based off statistical data and analysis, anyone who says otherwise doesn't know much about oddsmaking. :hi:

Check out the data on how often underdogs/favorites win, it's very close to 50% every year for both sides.
