UT/VA Tech @ Bristol?

Ok guys. This sounds really cool! But won't it be just about impossible to see anything? I've never been to a major speedway like that but if the field is on the infield, wouldn't the seats be hella far away? GBO

Conversely, this will truly be an awesome moment in American sports history. A potential 160,000 people to watch a collegiate football game? The idea is almost hard to fathom.

I just fathomed it a little bit. All I can say is wow.

dumb venue

it's a great place to watch a race, but a stupid place to try to have a football game

You have no idea if this is true or not since there has never been a football game played at this location.

What I do know is that our current top 5 class will be at least juniors in 2016 and we will be competing for a NC that year. So this was a dumb move by Virginia as they are going to get stomped.

It's hard to see based on seat locations and angles how the sight lines will work. The people at the ends are especially going to be out of luck.

I agree. I've been to several races. I think sitting on the sided would allow you a decent view. Sitting on the ends would be rough. Especially if there is a pole in front of you, like at one race I went to.

I dont know why people are so negative towards this. Guys, its the biggest gathering to watch a football GAME ever! And Tennessee will be featured! This is a incredible recruiting tool, too!

Oof. Totally disagree. Sat in GG at Neyland on Saturday afternoon and could barely see. Have never had a problem viewing the field at LP.

OK, we disagree. I sit in XX in Knoxville & was in another upper deck seat for Titans-Jets. LP is an inferior venue IMO.

Nobody is being negative, just honest. It's gonna be hard for the people in the stands to view the game.

I don't think many people are arguing that Bristol is going to be an amazing venue for football. Most agree it probably won't be. It's the experience and being a part of history that gets some of us (me anyway) excited.

I do agree with the inferior part. Overall, LP is a craphole.

Maybe LP isn't in the upper echelon of pro stadiums, but it's still a lot nicer than Neyland.

I'd much rather watch a game in Neyland, but it isn't because of the amenities or aesthetics of the stadium.

I don't watch NASCAR, so I've never been to BMS as an adult. I look forward to it, even if I won't be able to see the field.

LP is a pretty darn good stadium for being able to actually see the game. too many stadiums have upper endzones and upper corners that are much worse than LP

I don't care if I can barely see. I will be there!!! They might have a huge screen added. Might be one of the renovations?
