That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying it's more fear than anything else based on the past.
But if UT got rid of Pearl would you put money on UT having more or less success?? I know where the majority of fans money would be based solely on history alone.

You didn't know? There's a federal law that states UT must be essentially the anti-Xavier. We have to get each and every coaching search wrong.

Look, facts are facts whether you like Pearl or not. Pearl has had more success than Green. If you were hiring between the two and comparing resumes, Pearl would be the obvious choice

More times than not since the 80s, UT has gotten it wrong. That's where fear comes in and why people don't want change yet.

I never said Green is a better coach than Pearl. Just that their accomplishments at UT aren't really all that different at this point.

A big problem with UT fans is often they tend to be satisfied with slightly better than average results with elite resources and money.

His highest ranking was 4th. He won two east titles. He won the SEC regular season championship as well. So, just as many SEC titles as Pearl and one less east title.

I don't disagree at all. Green did a lot of good when he was here, and got a bad rap for that 2000 team (I think) falling apart. But money speaks and the money didn't want him anymore

Jerry Green's post Tennessee employment history is a perfect indicator of his quality as a coach.

I'll be the first to admit that I had no knowledge of Green's career as a coach at UT since I've only really followed basketball since I became a student here. I'm not even arguing who the coach should be. I just think it's more then cowardly to get on the internet and question the character of a young man that you don't even know. Or make summary judgments on people who's job you couldn't do for ten minutes. thats it.

They'll never get it. They wouldn't say it out in public like they do hiding behind a screen name. I can't stand the sports media, but at least there's a name and face to it and they have to look eye-to-eye with the players they are talking about.
not many would say what they say if they knew they had to look these players in the eyes the next day.

Not trying to be a tough guy. I thought you were trying to somehow dispute the fact that Pearl and Green's tenure are very similar. If you were honestly just trying to learn about it, I apologize. :hi:
