Anyone ever been to Maine? I'm flying up to NYC and renting a car. I want to drive up to Maine and see a few lighthouses and whatever else I can find. Recommendations?

Portland rocks. Can't go wrong with much of anything there.

Agree that must see is Bar Harbor, Acadia (in same area as Bar Harbor), Booth Bay... great food.

For me, I love Maine, and go a bit deeper into the wilderness... places like North Maine Woods, the Allagash area. These places are out in the sticks and you would need a week or more to see and enjoy properly.

I agree. I like the Richardson Lakes, Rapid River and Mooselookmaguntic Lake area.

I also agree about Acadia. It's been nearly 30 years since I've been there but it was absolutely beautiful. Gorgeous hiking. Get up early one morning and head up Cadillac Mountain to catch the sunrise from the top — it's the highest point on the coast so you'll be the first in the country to catch the sun's rays that day.

Looking at a Class A right now......any suggestions on manufacturer? I have driven a Tiffin and an Entegra......

Sorry but no. We didn’t even consider a Class A when we upgraded. My only suggestion would be to go with diesel power and stay away from any unit that has a Navistar engine.

2019 Coachmen leprechaun 220qb. It was nice and fine for the 4 of us

That’s nice. The only options here are cruise America or RVshare. There is a car dealership which is now renting airstreams, but I can only tow the smaller one which would be fine for my wife and I, but not if we want to go w friends. And to rent a truck ends up being too $.

Thanks!..........Yeah, I would not consider anything but a Cummins Diesel........both have a 450

Up here for a two week tdy. Getting paid to be here. “Working” 6 of the days. No complaints at all. Checking out everything I can.

Anchorage area.

Hit the Bush Company if you like that sort of thing...

The Bear Tooth has great beer and food

Earthquake park is a pretty area.

If you get a chance to drive go south down to Girdwood its a gorgeous drive along the inlet.

That's the way to do it.

We've never been before, but have a cruise planned for next June.

We went whale watching in Vancouver and it was horrible. It was supposed to last 4 hours but ended up being 8. I think they were determined to find a whale and not give refunds. I would also recommend spending more time in whistler. It was the highlight of our trip. I also have a friend that lives in Vancouver. He and his wife work at lululemon. If you have any questions, I’d be happy to ask him.

No way I would go to Maine without visiting Acadia National Park and vicinity. It has had a place on our bucket list for a long time.

True..Research Acadia's interesting history, make reservations and ride the unique carriage roads. Drive to the top of Cadillac Mountain. Take a trip to Bass Harbour Lighthouse. Bar Harbor. We were there one rainy week. Apart from having our camper broke in to, it was awesome. Haven't gotten to go back. The trip would be worth it for the fresh lobster everyday😋

San Antonio is cool as crap to me. I also loved the drive through Louisiana.
