Vacation / Travel

Was in Charlotte the week of 13 June for 4 days. Saw the NASCAR Hall of Fame, Penske Racing, Hendrick Motorsports, Stewart-Haas Racing, JR Motorsport and the North Carolina Auto Racing Hall of Fame. Only the first and the last had entrance fees. Took about 800-900 pictures and listed some on Facebook.

Doing a trip to East Tennesse in early October for a class reunion for about 5 days. Miss the mountains. Should be cooler up north since I live in central Florida.

We were in Orlando at the first of June and I told my wife I'll never go back to central Florida unless it's the dead of winter.

I wanted to die it was so muggy and hot. I can only imagine what it's like there now.

I can't stand hot weather though, so I'm sure some people love it.

Just got back from a week in Panama City Beach. Met some cool Vol fans, one was hardcore from Cartersville. Maybe some help reeling in TL.

We stayed near Pier Park and tried lots of restaurants but the best by far was across the street. Hook'd bar and grill was amazing It's not fancy but the food, drink and service was top notch.

Taking a red-eye to ATL tonight. Be in the hills of Tennessee tomorrow morning. Yassssss!!!!

Leaving Tuesday for Montana and Wyoming to do some fly fishing and camping. Should be back by August 1.

Sounds fun. If you catch some nice ones post pictures.

Leaving for Clearwater in the morning!

Hey Joe..not trying to make you skeered or nothin, but this week is the peak of Bull shark mating season and the males are even more pumped full of testosterone than normal, making them hyper aggressive. Also this is Jellyfish mating season. They will drift by the millions in the shallows off The west coast of Flurduh. And to top it off it is Stingray mating season with thousands of them just cruising around the beaches...but you should be fine. :) Oh by the way....Just kidding..have fun. :)

Having time to do things like this is the greatest luxury I have. Hopefully I will be able to take advantage of it for a long time.

I'm having to plan and save for the next year, just to spend 6 days in GTNP and YNP. Pretty much having to sacrifice any other mini trips for the next year also. But it is so worth it....49 weeks from today, God willing and the creek don't rise, and I will be sitting on the deck at our cabin at Moulton ranch watching the sunset over the Grand Teton. :)

Almost all the fish I catch are absolutely YUGE!!!! I only take pictures of the few middling sized ones so as not to make other fishermen feel bad. :)

Way to be humble! Haha

Haha, you could've had me worried! It's beautiful down here. We got rerouted because of a wreck and got off at one of the Gainesville exits and took back roads the rest of the way in. It took us down 19, and 589 or something, we went through crystal River and a toll road. It was beautiful that way. We're gonna go back that way God willing, and spend a couple of hours at crystal River. Clearwater is beautiful as well, the bay is magnificent. I watched some people catch some fish on the bat earlier and got fired up. Its crowded, but I like it here.

You drove right by my old house on the way to Clearwater Beach. I love and miss it down there. Too bad that when you was coming down 19 you didn't stop at Weeki Watchee or Homosassa springs. The girls could have seen a bunch of Manatees at Homosassa. They built a circular room with glass windows down into the middle of the main spring. There are thousands of big fish swimming around the viewing building and usually a few manatees also.

So you're in Clearwater? I'm in St. Pete, not far from you. I'd like to get over your way to eat at Frenchy's on the beach before I leave.

Have fun!

Booked a 3 night stay in Vegas in December. Missouri State is in the Las Vegas Classic this year. Going to follow them out there and enjoy a few days.

We're gonna visit there before we leave! I like it down here. I've been trying to get my wife to move! Ha

You too! Man I was in st Pete today. We drove there, treasure island, and a couple more places just getting out and seeing different places. We went to the beach here first early, then took off driving. Frenchy's? I'll have to find it! We're looking for ideas. We're staying at the lower part of Clearwater, there's a park across the bridge that we're gonna go spend the day tomorrow and grill out over there, but I may try that place you said one day.

Dang it! Freak, I just told my buddy about Frenchy's, and him and his wife are there today!
