Was in Charlotte the week of 13 June for 4 days. Saw the NASCAR Hall of Fame, Penske Racing, Hendrick Motorsports, Stewart-Haas Racing, JR Motorsport and the North Carolina Auto Racing Hall of Fame. Only the first and the last had entrance fees. Took about 800-900 pictures and listed some on Facebook.
Doing a trip to East Tennesse in early October for a class reunion for about 5 days. Miss the mountains. Should be cooler up north since I live in central Florida.
Leaving for Clearwater in the morning!
Having time to do things like this is the greatest luxury I have. Hopefully I will be able to take advantage of it for a long time.
I'm having to plan and save for the next year, just to spend 6 days in GTNP and YNP. Pretty much having to sacrifice any other mini trips for the next year also. But it is so worth it....49 weeks from today, God willing and the creek don't rise, and I will be sitting on the deck at our cabin at Moulton ranch watching the sunset over the Grand Teton.
Hey Joe..not trying to make you skeered or nothin, but this week is the peak of Bull shark mating season and the males are even more pumped full of testosterone than normal, making them hyper aggressive. Also this is Jellyfish mating season. They will drift by the millions in the shallows off The west coast of Flurduh. And to top it off it is Stingray mating season with thousands of them just cruising around the beaches...but you should be fine. Oh by the way....Just kidding..have fun.
Haha, you could've had me worried! It's beautiful down here. We got rerouted because of a wreck and got off at one of the Gainesville exits and took back roads the rest of the way in. It took us down 19, and 589 or something, we went through crystal River and a toll road. It was beautiful that way. We're gonna go back that way God willing, and spend a couple of hours at crystal River. Clearwater is beautiful as well, the bay is magnificent. I watched some people catch some fish on the bat earlier and got fired up. Its crowded, but I like it here.
So you're in Clearwater? I'm in St. Pete, not far from you. I'd like to get over your way to eat at Frenchy's on the beach before I leave.Haha, you could've had me worried! It's beautiful down here. You drove right by my old house on the way to Clearwater Beach. I love and miss it down there. Too bad that when you was coming down 19 you didn't stop at Weeki Watchee or Homosassa springs. The girls could have seen a bunch of Manatees at Homosassa. They built a circular room with glass windows down into the middle of the main spring. There are thousands of big fish swimming around the viewing building and usually a few manatees also.
