'It was too late': Henderson man and firefighter dies from COVID-19; family urges community to get vaccinated

She and her husband were strongly against the COVID-19 vaccine and masks as recently as three weeks ago.

"I thought it was a political game... I didn't think it could happen to us," Christina Lowe said.

Christina said their views on the virus changed completely in the days leading up to his death. She opted to get the vaccine while in the hospital setting.

Now, she is not allowing his death to be in vain. Just as Mike did in his firefighting career. She's working to save lives by speaking out about the importance of getting vaccinated.

We asked her how the southern Nevada community can honor his legacy moving forward.

"By getting vaccinated, by wearing your masks. I understand some of you believe that this political-- and it might be, it could be political, I don't know that it's not," Christina said. "I do know that because of that decision of my husband believing it was political, that was why he did not want to wear a mask, he did not want to get vaccinated. He didn't trust them. It cost him his life."

Do you really think it was the masks? It keeps getting lumped in with vaccinations to validate it, but instead of masks the wife should be concerned with their diet. The first thing you see when you click that link is a picture of 4 firefighters, and I immediately knew which one had problems with covid.

And this may seem petty, but if we started replacing diet and hand washing everywhere I've read masks, it may actually mean something.

It is political because one side won’t talk about why people are dying and how to improve your chances. Losing weight will do more for ones overall health than a vaccine will. The one person I know who wound up in the hospital back in the winter, is in his early 30’s, but wears a semi tire around his waistline. He didn’t eat in a restaurant at all from March until the time he wound up in the hospital, his stay at home wife didn’t go out from March until he wound up in the hospital, they stayed away from family from March until he wound up in the hospital, they wore masks religiously (including in his office) etc. He wound up in the hospital on a vent cause he’s about 280 and it’s concentrated in one section; he’s one of the unhealthiest looking individuals I’ve ever seen.

I’m gonna rant here.

It seems to me that in the past we elected a president and the losing side accepted the results and moved on. That all changed when Trump was elected. From day one he was attacked by the media and the left, he was never given a fair chance. In my opinion it got very ugly and I blame them for where we are now. So it’s started a new trend and now the right is doing the exact same thing to Biden, even at the expense of their own health or life. To clarify, I voted for Trump and I will vote for whoever runs next time for the Republican Party. Yes, I agree Covid has become political on both sides, but it’s one issue that is not political for me. Sorry not sorry. But right or wrong it’s the misinformation that is killing so many people and putting such a strain on our hospitals. I’m posting on here for my personal mental health and my beliefs, and the hopes to save a couple lives, educate a couple people and take down some disinformation. I’m sad that people had to die to prove that point but it is what it is. I don’t like seeing thousands of people die everyday. But if I can use a couple examples to change a few minds I’m here for it and the rude disgusting responses I receive will not discourage me.

Trump was an absolute failure in leadership wrt covid but this isn't about the election. This is about govt exerting control that they are unlikely to ever give up without a fight. Look at what's happening in Australia and know that our govt is watching with extreme envy.

You aren't changing anyone's mind with the anecdotal fear porn you post. In fact, I think you miss the hidden point in most of your posts which is that this will target the old, infirm or unhealthy in much greater numbers than anyone wants to admit. Isn't flip flop Fauci associated with the NIH? The last sentence of the abstract in the link below sums up their findings. Namely, Ivermectin "has slight effects on male fertility". Big difference from 85%. What you referenced looks like a typical libtard hit piece similar to the Lancet report. Edit: might be talking apples to oranges since the NIH study is in rats so take it for what it's worth.

Edit 2: The Mayo Clinic doesn't list infertility as a side effect:

My challenge to the premise that Ivermectin causes mass male infertility would be to produce pre-2021 studies that prove it. The drug has been around a long time so it should have an extensive track record.
