Vaccine or not?

I have a friend who's FIL passed about 6 hours ago. He was mid 70's. Nashville. He got diagnosed, went to Dr. Requested monoclonal antibodies. They refused saying he wasn't high risk enough despite him having heart issues and a prostate cancer survivor. Went home with meds. Got worse, called an ambulance for himself. Stayed in hospital for 3 days. Needed ICU but no beds. Was getting ready for transfer to ST Thomas when he died of heart attack .

He was fully vaccinated, moderna.

I know of people that got the monoclonal antibodies and it worked well, and I know of people that their health had already deteriorated badly, and they needed to take other measures. It’s really upsetting that he was refused. So sorry for your friends loss.

So the unvaccinated and never had Covid should definitely go out and catch Covid to keep themselves safe from Covid.

I’m not saying that. Only that is appears previously having Covid offers excellent protection from future reinfection. If someone that hasn’t already had Covid doesn’t want to get it they should probably get one of the vaccines to improve their chances. I don’t see why anyone would intentionally try to get Covid.

As for people saying those that had Covid be required to get a vaccine, what do you think the current Biden mandate requirement is doing? Trying to force everyone, even the previously infected, to get a shot.

The vax pushers only break it down to vaccinated and unvaccinated. The govt doesn’t take into account whether or not you’ve already have Covid.

The vaccine for those who already had Covid is an interesting conversation. To know if it’s a good idea you’d need to compare reinfection rates of those who had Covid and then got the vaccine Vs those who had Covid and didn’t get the vaccine.
A comparison to those who didn’t have Covid and got vaccinated doesn’t really tell us anything. if I had already had Covid I’d be looking hard at that comparison before getting vaccinated. With the information available I’d likely pass at this point.

Biden’s mandate is garbage and will get struck down in the courts.

It’s not the hospitals decision. It’s his personal physicians decision. The treatment is readily available in chattanooga


Edit: if you have not already had this conversation with your Dr so you know what will be available if you get sick then have the damn conversation. Don’t get caught by surprise. If you don’t like what you hear find a new Dr
