Damn straight that's where we are. Proud of it. And that's one of the reasons NYC is not a COVID s**thole like TN.
And this was not done overnight. There was plenty of advance notice of the mandate and it does not apply to outdoor dining, which is available at nearly every restaurant because NYC passed a law allowing restaurants to create outdoor dining spaces.
I think the narrative is that the vaccine makes you much less likely to be hospitalized with COVID.That's not what the narrative of the vaccine is portrayed. You are not supposed to get ill enough to be hospitalized when you get the vaccine. This proves that it's not the case.
That might be true if you have 100% infection rate. Do you have data to show that?I think the narrative is that the vaccine makes you much less likely to be hospitalized with COVID.
This article completely supports that narrative............
Even though it was intended to mislead people into believing the opposite. (successfully so it appears)

Well in my world if I had Covid already I’m likely not taking the vaccine or at least it’s a different conversation. More data in decision making is always a good thingMaybe I should have put that in blue. I have very little faith in the cdc. Every year my blood is drawn to see what antibodies I have. I’m good. Now they are advising get the vaccine but don’t check your antibodies first for covid. It’s counterintuitive to everything we know.
All of this data is based off 100% potential of infection rate. One would think people would be smart enough to realize that the best way to prevent the spread of covid is to not be around an infected person. The point of the post was to demonstrate that there is a number of people, more than are unvaccinated that are sick enough to be hospitalized. This was not supposed to be possible. That is the narrative that is being pushed in order for mandating a vaccine as a requirement of employment.
The issue is the definition of "some", and there was no mandate for the polio vaccine when it first came out. When the polio vaccine became available some vaccinated people still got sick and died or became paralyzed. Yet It has proven to be one of the most successful vaccines in history. Just because of some breakthrough cases doesn't signify it's a failure. What's wrong with you?
I'm going to make it quick. That might be true if you have 100% infection rate. Do you have data to show that?
Dude
I am not an anti vaxxer at all. Took mine back in January. Stuff like this is dumb AF. Of course you like it when the Man is keeping black folks down. Thanks Joe? Did I do that right?
There’s plenty of stupidity on both sides of the debate. It’s actually pretty equal. As long as it's YOUR choice and YOUR decision there would be no problem or controversy surrounding the covid vaccine.

One side calling people sheep and the other side calling people…..sheep. Basically everyone seems to have their opinions and if you disagree then you’re stupid.
You don't have that data, so you can't say that data based on the fact that everyone in the population has had the potential to be infected. Do you have a number of people currently infected with covid?
I understand the restaurant has to enforce the mandate. The server is just a John following rules. The race comment was simply a jab from me with No harm intended. It is sad IMO that it has gotten to this point. The patrons in that restaurant can come into contact with a COV positive person pretty much anywhere that doesn’t have to follow a mandate even in the COVID gold standard that is NY.This has zero to do with race. There's a vaccine mandate in NYC that is OVERWHELMINGLY supported. Restaurants that don't follow it face heavy fines. Vaccines are given out like candy everywhere you go. Hell, we're GIVING people a hundred bucks to get vaxxed, because it's a helluva lot cheaper than paying for freedumb lovers to end up in the hospital.
