You're just like Trump, you don't know when to quit. lolI absolutely think Biden is wrong in requiring the businesses require the shot or terminate the employees who don't get it.
Does that make you feel better? Also, when you say "fake" president - did you mean the President who keeps winning the same states over and over and over again? That fake president?
Honestly I think the issue with what you pushing is you’re ignoring the whole picture. Some companies are stating they prefer no mandates but Biden forced their hand. Now they could be lying but that’s what their saying. So companies are being told what to do regardless of whether you side with Biden or the GOP governors. I’ll chose to side with the ones that protect the citizens choice and restores the status quo before Biden’s stupid ass action.I absolutely think Biden is wrong in arbitrarily making the businesses require the shot or terminate the employees who don't get it.

I retired almost 4 years ago and there hasn't been a month go by that they haven't asked me to come back. I used to love my company and worked there for 35 years, but towards the end they sucked and screwed me over. My one bit of retribution is to never help them again and I'm living up to that promise.I’m actually in the opposite camp. As each day passes I can’t wait till I can just give the company and DoD the finger and ride off into the sunset. I won’t say their isn’t enough money to get me to come back but I don’t think I’m worth the money and conditions it would take to get me to come back part time.

What you explicitly stated was “who said we live in a free society?” and then immediately started back peddling off that. I’ll stand pat thanks.
I’m not far from where you are. They haven’t screwed me over directly but they’ve had a very heavy handed response to the end of the world over the last 18 months. I told a peer just yesterday I don’t hate it and I’m not a victim by a long shot but I really don’t want to work for them anymore.I retired almost 4 years ago and there hasn't been a month go by that they haven't asked me to come back. Fair enough. However SOMEBODY’S will is going to be imposed so I’ll side with the one that rights the boat before it was upset. On the contrary, I absolutely see the whole picture.
I don't side with either one. Both sides are trying to impose their will on the business, one by requiring the vaccine and one in forbidding it. The decision should be between the business owner and the employees.
My heartburn with government meddling in the affairs of business doesn't distinguish between state and federal.
So yes we all agree you are stating we don’t live in a free society thus there’s no reason to work to protect our freedoms. Which is what Ras was calling you out on.A free society, meaning one where there is no coercion or force, which we don't live in, nor does anyone else. Ras seemed to me to be implying that we do. That's the magic of context.
Then WTF do you mean when you say:
What you say here is nullified by the first half of your post.
So what am I supposed to assume from this post? That you are perfectly ok with the current vaccine mandates but don't want to go any further? Even if that is what you are saying, you still don't see that these mandates are going too far right now.
Where did I say I was okay with the government forcing the vaccine?
I argued what constitutes force in the context of comparing that to imprisoning addicts. That's not supporting government vaccine mandates.
Certain amounts or types of drugs. There are elements to the laws. However drug use directly affects others not just the drug addict. A vaccine only affects the person taking it
I think I understand what you’re saying, but I don’t think I said what I meant very well.I agree. It's why I called out ND40.
With regard to the Abbott EO, both Southwest and American Airlines have stated at least for now it changes nothing as they are federal contractors. Not a peep from my company yet except they indicated in prior communications they would respect state and local laws in which the Montana example was explicitly offered where they will require testing to enter company facilities.
And if testing were made an alternative then you have reasonable accommodation. My asshat company has mandated get the jab or you’re fired. There are accommodations for medical or religious exemptions but it’s unknown how those will be adjudicated at this time. If you exempt then you have to test weekly. No accommodation is allowed for “I just don’t want the jab but I’ll do testing”. They are claiming the idiot in chief’s EO calls for this. It absolutely does no such thing it allows for weekly testing.Universal testing makes sense to me. Actually about safety, doesnt play politics, doesnt make assumptions.
No, you're trying to squeeze in a distinction that makes you feel better about the mental gymnastics you're engaged in.
Either you believe the government should force their will into private business decisions or you don't. Being a feckless bandwagoner and riding your feels from one policy decision to the next is what I'd expect from the most unprincipled among us.
Does that describe you?
So let me get this straight, it's now statist to support private companies setting their own policies on employment?
It's hard to keep up with all the changes these days.
Guess the "What did you have for Dinner" thread would have a lot less posts! You’re clearly not paying attention.
Have you tried to buy a 24 oz coke in New York.
I guess you missed the proposed 1 burger per person a week legislative efforts.
Again you keep trying to move the goalposts to an argument I’m not making and I’m against. You’re getting close to the “ok” response
