I have a hard time believing they can fire us all. I’m sorry that you caught the brunt of the ******** in your profession. I was one of the ginormous pussies, I guess.. even though it was by force. I didn’t want to be out of work. I refuse to back down, and it’s really putting a stranglehold on my career. I’ve already been let go from amazon for refusing to comply.. I switched to doing deliveries for Amazon.. except in my own car as a private contracted employee. Tell me how that makes sense. It’s the same exact job except I use my own car and gas now for marginally better pay to make up for that. I was also in a program to get my teachers certificate, but I put that on hold to see how this plays out. I’m 25 years old and feel like my life has been set back 5-10 years by this. If none of this happened, I’d already be a teacher. What really pisses me off is that most healthcare workers never skipped a beat caring for patients, many of us contracting the virus in the process, fighting it off, and gaining powerful immunity. Meanwhile, another segment of our population hid at home like ginormous pussies and called us heroes. Fast-forward 20 months and we are going to be fired if we don't comply with these new rules which include no acknowledgement of the immunity we gained while battling your pandemic.
GTFO.
Im sure the “just get the vaccine and you wouldn’t have to take all these steps back” people will show up eventually to this post.I have a hard time believing they can fire us all. Bingo.
Fortunately I've learned to take care of myself and my wife. We have no debt and can (and do) live on little money, packing away what I'm blessed enough to have beyond what we need.
This is the argument my wife will make for ours when he turns 5 in 3 months. Completely ignoring the fact that he never stopped seeing grandma prior to her being eligible for a vaccine let alone him. I believe most people lived more freely prior to the vaccine than they do now. My in-laws strayed from restaurants, church and other outings early then resumed in time; now that they’re vaccinated they do LESS going out. The brain warp of society is far scarier than the virus.Liberals I come into contact with will say: to protect grandma
Where do these statistics come from? I have literally talked to 100’s of people who have contracted Covid and 0 have long term loss of taste and smell. What sample size is necessary to confirm this 20% when my anecdotal sample size does not only reveal its not 20% its not 1%.That’s not the only issue though. 20% lose sense of smell and taste for ever. That’s still your risk to take if you choose but for some reason we only talk about the death rate.

My principles are more important to me than my comfort. I’m poorer than I’ve ever been, but I’m making it by. I’d rather live like **** than sacrifice my freedoms for perceived securities. And yes, this is a hill worth dying on. This too shall pass.
Remember when it was just 2 weeks?
Remember when it was just stay home?
Remember when it was just wear a mask?
Remember when it was just make your kids wear masks?
Remember when a vaccine wouldn't be mandatory?
Remember when so many of us said it wasn't just about that particular thing, but allowing the government to control our lives and what might come next?
Here we are.
You may see a larger movement towards fee-for-service and concierge medicine, eliminating insurance companies and the government from meddling and driving up costs. Honestly, this is probably a great thing. Unfortunately, the people that will suffer are the indigent and those who depend upon Medicaid/Medicare.Hang in there man." You've got to stand for something, or you'll fall for anything. You've got to be your own man, not a puppet on a string."
Somebody needs to organize a network of businesses etc. that stand up to these mandates who will hire people who have been let go. It's going to take an effort of people looking out for each other.

And it will probably be all for nothing and these vaccines have no long term side effects. But like you said the principle of being told what to do with your body by Feds is insane. The New Normal ******* sucks.Im sure the “just get the vaccine and you wouldn’t have to take all these steps back” people will show up eventually to this post.

What did you do at Amazon that you had to comply or be fired?I have a hard time believing they can fire us all. I’m sorry that you caught the brunt of the ******** in your profession.
