Vaccine or not?

In TN you can be fired for any reason as long as it's not due to race, religion, sex or age.
You can repeat that ad nauseum, since Tennessee is an "at-will" state, but your initial example was that you could fire someone for tobacco use (there is a law on the books in Tennessee that makes that wrongful termination) and now you have limits on vaccine mandates.

You're still arguing the law, for some reason, how the law is a pass for you think it's OK to extend workplace mandates and requirements to time off the clock. It's bizarre.

You are correct the reasons listed for termination cannot state "tobacco use" and now "vaccination status".

It would have to be they were heard saying Roll Tide or did a Gator chomp.

60 Countries With the Best Covid-19 Vaccination Rates in the World

The U.S. has slipped in the international covid-19 vaccine rankings to 55th place.

The U.S. government is struggling to convince Americans that vaccination is the only way to end the pandemic, with Republicans turning covid-19 into a political issue.
You continue to post opinions, half-truths, and lies as absolute facts. Why do that and what do you think you accomplish by doing that?

Seeing what's happening in other countries right now with covid passports and insane lockdowns etc. is exactly why I've chosen to take the stance I have. I'm not so much Anti-vax as I am simply taking the stance that is absolutely should not be mandated on people who don't want or need it. If we don't draw a line in the sand right now that will be us in a few more years. You can already see what's happening in California and New York. It's just a matter of time.

Not sure what you mean by "take a stand now" but I think trying to prevent a slippery slope can be a good way to lose the debate. If you resist everything, you lose political capital. For example, "this guy wanted the government to ban employer mandates, so he's perfectly fine with using the government to infringe on liberty for his own designs." Actually, I see the whole pandemic as a phenomenon where both sides are trying to outdo each other in terms of wasting political capital.

I think California is going to continue to be California and Indiana is going to continue to be Indiana.

The fact that he never follows up just shows that he is trolling. I don't really use my ignore feature but this guy is coming really close. Literally zero information or debate he brings to the board.

Absolutely ridiculous. The vaccines aren't working, so his solution is to take more vaccines. This guy is a complete political hack, and he should be prosecuted for treason for funding the creation of the Wuhan virus in the first place.
Not treason... crimes against humanity. And then he should be hanged.

I've already employed it.

Yeah that would only be the 2nd poster I've ever put on ignore. Looking more and more like that might be the thing to do. Hopefully there is no sane person that falls for the garbage it posts
I stopped reading it months ago. I scroll thru all it's posts now without even slowing down.

What I mean by "taking a stand now" is as long as we continue to comply with every mandate, restriction and shutdowns they put into place they will continue to take more and more of our freedoms and rights away. If we give them an inch they will take a mile. Whats happening in Austria today did not just happen overnight.

IDK if I buy this at all. People have been resisting in CA. Even leaving the state. CA continues to be CA.

What is happening likely has nothing to do with compliance levels with previous mandates and everything to do with who they are culturally as a country and also how their national government operates, much like California. Do you have any evidence to believe it actually has something to do with compliance on this issue?

The Democrats are in charge and if they were going to cram something like this down our national throats, they probably would have tried it already. [crosses fingers] Then they'd have to pass it. Then they'd have to enforce it. Good luck. It doesn't even seem enforceable here.

Our culture and how our national government is run is changing more rapidly then I ever thought possible. If I would have told you 3 years ago that in 2021 there will be restaurants and stores in the United States that require you to provide a paper to enter you would have told me I was crasy in the head. Government mandating vaccines. Shutting down small mom and pop businesses everywhere while the big boys are allowed to stay open. Mask mandates everywhere.

Leaving out the fact that there is a global pandemic would definitely make you sound crazy. I still can't believe we had shutdowns and that is a crazy violation of rights, but we didn't have to fight them on other stuff in order to win that fight. We won that fight because of its lack of merit and because so many people were fighting it, not because people were also fighting the mask mandates, school shutdowns, employer vax mandates, etc.

I look at the mask mandate like I look at seat belt laws. Both are minor violations of rights but I'm not going resist just to resist. I believed masks might help us slow the spread and mitigate risk, just like I believe seatbelts mitigate risk. You might say "well, we know seat belts save lives and the data on masks is murky" but actually the data on seatbelts is pretty murky too (because seat belt laws brought about more accidents).

I remember when you claimed to be a staunch libertarian. Now forcing people to wear a mask in order to go out in public is just a minor violation of rights.

He's not a staunch libertarian. Anybody on here who claims to be a staunch libertarian or centrist is full of you know what.

You all better start getting worried about medical supplies.

Here's some inside baseball: large medical supply warehouses and producers that are being forced to implement mandates are expecting more than a 30% loss in staff and no good way to refill those spaces.
Jit ordering is a thing if the past.
