Vaccine or not?

There's been to much politics injected in to this virus so now any information good or bad is tainted. When Bill Maher admits this, you know something isn't right.
You're a fan of Bill Maher?
But yes, I agree. It's ridiculous; but based on the last few years, not all that surprising.

The correct claim was the benefits of natural immunity, as it relates to protection against a new infection and contribution to herd immunity, was largely ignored for the first two years of the pandemic.
I don't even totally agree with that, even though it is closer to true.

Tl;dr version: I am not understanding your complaints on their chart.

100k has been a pretty normal number used when talking about a country, so I dont see a slant in them using it. Heck I think our states use that number as well as the basis, and I know Atlanta uses 100k. They would have to go down to what, 100? To get decimals. That seems like an unreasonably small metric to use.

Any way you change that 100k number up or down the relation is going to stay the same. As a rate fewer unvaxxed are getting sick (or whatever this chart said) than their vaxxed counterparts. And they even adjusted the youngest out, who dont get sick and are unvaxxed, which would have helped the unvaxxed rate.

The only way 100k could slant the numbers is if there were less than 100k of a category. 50 people out of the total 50k pop would be 100 out of 100k, but there wouldnt even be 100 in real life. Considering Scotland is more vaxxed than not it again seems like that would help the vaxxed numbers not the unvaxxed.

Ash loves bs studies except the ones he doesn’t agree with.

I have no doubt.
I also believe that brushing your teeth regularly helps prevent cavities.
You can teach your kids to brush their teeth. You can make them brush their teeth for a period of time. You can encourage them to brush their teeth. You can explain why it is important for them to brush their teeth...but ultimately it's on them.
All you can do is hope that they are eventually wise enough to understand why it is in their best interest, and to a lesser degree the best interest of those who are forced to be in close proximity.

I'm to the point of viewing this debate in much the same way.....don't brush your teeth, I don't really care; just understand why I may turn my head when you talk to me.

So what about the people who don’t brush their teeth on even a remotely regular basis that don’t get cavities?

Also, if you are fully vaccinated, why would you be afraid of talking to someone with your head straight at them? I just don’t understand. Please help me. If you are a fully vaccinated person, why would you have any fear whatsoever of COVID?

Liberals' inability to craft or articulate a logical argument render them unable to even understand such a thought process. If the vaccines actually prevent Covid (as Luther claims), then why are all these other regulations necessary to protect fully vaccinated individuals from getting Covid?

It reminds me of this quote from A Few Good Men:

"Colonel, I just have one final question before I put Airman O'Malley and Airman Rodriguez on the stand: If you gave an order that Private Santiago wasn't to be touched, and your orders are always followed, then why would Private Santiago be in danger? Why would it be necessary to transfer him off the base?"

I would say they are lucky but probably still have some pretty rancid breath.

The vaccine doesn't make you immune from COVID, it only greatly reduces your risk of getting COVID, and greatly reduces your risk of serious complications and death if you do.

It's still TikTok. Conservative application of societal rules dictates equal application.
From my understanding there's quite a bit of videos on TikTok that make fun of Biden and show how insane he is. Not sure why conservatives would be upset. Plus most adult conservatives are already on Facebook and other social media outlets.

True or false: If all eligible people got vaxxed, we would have fewer cases, fewer severe cases, fewer hospitalizations, and fewer deaths. It's really not hard. Stop groveling to the knuckledraggers on here. You now the data is there for all of this.

Lmao roughly 76% of the population is vaccinated. Given the number of children and people who are unable to be vaccinated due to health concerns, how many do you really think we are missing?

To pretend it’s a massive is very disingenuous. So you’re really upset about what? Maybe 5-10% of people? 15% tops?

Ok. Let’s assume you are right about the “vaccine.” Why are vaccinated people afraid? I mean it’s literally

The unknown is my guess.

My daughter has already had covid and If she wants to go on her school trip to DC she will have to get vaccinated as well. Seems kinda silly that you have to get vaccinated against something you have already had.
I agree. As far as I know, that seems silly. I understand the desire for everybody to get it from a public policy standpoint, but the evidence of any marginal benefit after a prior infection seemed pretty limited the last time I looked at that.

I don’t care if people get the vaccine. I just hope they decide based on real information and not because they got duped by asinine statements like “doesn’t do anything” and “unnecessary health risk for young people.” I don’t even know how that became en vogue on the right or what the motivation is for people like Clay Travis to push that. It’s a weird phenomenon.

Hopefully it becomes true eventually. It seems like we are headed that way 🤞. I’ll do my best to be the first one to congratulate the folks erroneously claiming to have been right all along.

True. Just be glad you had reduced symptoms and complications.

I did the first time as well, pre-vax. My point being, with all the breakthrough infections, you’re comment on the vaccine greatly reducing chance of infection is becoming less valid each day.

I don't know what you're asking. I'm not the least bit afraid. My life has been as normal as possible over the last 2 years. I wore a mask when needed or required, I got the vax and the boost, and I went about my day to day life. I've worked throughout, I've vacationed multiple times, I've gone to sporting events, resteraunts, and movies, I've visited friends and relatives, etc....

Then why are the people you put so much trust in, the CDC, Fauci and others keep pushing the fear narrative of being unvaccinated?

But being minorly inconvenienced is completely anti-American! Your sovereign self has been completely infringed upon!

True. Everyone was hoping the vaccine would offer greater protection. I think reasonable people should at least be able to agree that the vaccine offers some protection but not complete protection.
Then at least the debate could be narrowed to exactly how much protection.
