That is what I am trying to understand. I think most people agree the vax should be (and should always have been) a personal decision. No one cares that she got the Vax and if her position is just that it worked for her, why keep citing the virtually non-existent number of deaths for children between 0-18? I can only take it as her arguing that the CDC is justified in recommending the shot for children when the CDC unquestionably realizes that their recommendation will make the shot required in certain jurisdictions.
In 2 years? Died from or with covid? What was their previous health status? Your number is useless without context which is what we're discussing and you're avoiding. The post was an answer to stats in children deaths from covid
While the risk of COVID causing severe illness and hospitalization is much lower compared to adults, it's important to remember that at least 1,546 children ages 0 to 18 years have died from COVID. In addition, long-term adverse health effects even after mild infection in children are now being recognized.

We shut it down when we moved to NOVA. I'm fortunately in a strong enough position now that she doesn't have to work if she doesn't want to. She's done a couple of defense projects (big move from bakery work) but is otherwise enjoying the city and having family from Peru visit. She might start back on the cookies soon with no pressure. You all still have the bakery?
This is exactly what I have been requesting. As I have already stated, virtually every pediatric death with details known involved a chronically-ill or compromised child. For some reason, comorbid statistics are not available. The last time I ran the numbers, the risk of a child dying from CV was approximately that of being struck by lightning. Now, look up mortality and disability statistics for myocarditis (a known risk from the shots). In 2 years? Died from or with covid? What was their previous health status? Your number is useless without context which is what we're discussing and you're avoiding.

1,500 kids have died WITH covid in 2.5 years. That is 600 per year or less than what the CDC expects from kids that die FROM the flu annually...
Why don't we mandate flu vaccines then for kids?
If you want to get your child vaxxed, that is your choice. But to deny kids an education for this reason is non-sensical given the current effectiveness of the vax.
the 2017-2018 season had the highest reported number of pediatric deaths, with 188 pediatric deaths reported
No, I'm vax'd and no one has said anything bad to me. I think that the information coming out on the vax and the admissions by politicos of effectivity of the vax and other measures should give everyone pause. If you are fully or partially vaxxed, good on ya. If you aren't, good on ya too. I don't throw my status out as a badge, it's just out there. This thread is against anyone who is vaccinated and it should be titled "Anti vassers only"
You are in the wrong place for that.Maybe I jumped into a debate that I shouldn’t have? My intentions were honest: just wanted to discuss this topic in a civil manner since I just recently became a father. So it’s pretty close to the forefront of my mind. Without bringing politics into the equation the data SHOULD be looked at by each person and they make their own decision also realizing that others will not come to the same conclusion.
The thing about that is, in this thread sometimes people like the CDC stats and sometimes they don't.1,500 kids have died WITH covid in 2.5 years. That is 600 per year or less than what the CDC expects from kids that die FROM the flu annually...

It plainly states in bold letters "died from covid"In 2 years? Died from or with covid? What was their previous health status? Your number is useless without context which is what we're discussing and you're avoiding.
We know that is not true. It's been admitted that they aren't separated out. Also, what was the health status of those before getting covid? It plainly states in bold letters "died from covid"
