Vick & dog fighting?

It's starting to look like the Joey Harrington era is getting closer in Atlanta.
More like the Joey Harrington year. It looks like he's either the interim QB for teams now, or the good #2 option. Sometimes I get the feeling Joey could lead the NFL in touchdown passes and still get traded at the end of the season.

Clearly that would be a violation of his 8th Amendment rights protecting him against cruel and unusual punishment.

Very fun GAVol, very funny indeed.:post-4-1090547912: I don't know that my punishment to him would be cruel, (relative to electrocuting and body slamming dogs to DEATH) but it would certainly be unusual. :)

I don't think number of offenses is the sole factor in how Goodell hands down punishment.
From what I've been hearing reported this morning, first time offenders are murky water for Goodell's new policy.

It was also pointed out (Mike and Mike) that Vick's greater worry is likely that public pressure on Arthur Blank may force the organization to pull him pending some form of resolution.

This is a pure disaster for the Falcons.

Yea, but what the first offense is has a large bearing on the situation. Your first offense is DUI, not that big a deal. Your first offense is rape, probably a much bigger deal.

I'd say the Falcons best bet is to cut bait. I know there are salary cap implications but I can't see him ever being valuable contributor to the team again.

I'd say Vick would probably prefer some physical pain over having his brain melted.

You are assuming Vick has a brain. At this point, if he has one, he has yet to use it.

Again, I will have to go against this. I seriously doubt he would be bright enough to comprehend anything had been done.

What has stopped him from trying that out?
Playing for one season on a team that wasn't completely horribly godawful...

There's no way anybody can say whether or not a player is godawful based on their performance while they're playing for the Lions. It's just one of those things in the NFL. You have to qualify it. "Such and such player was horrible... But they did play for the Lions, maybe they'll work out elsewhere."

Word is Blank is beyond furious. He put everything into Vick being the whole effing show and Blank's now humiliated. If there was such thing as the Jewish Mafia in the ATL Blank is the man and he's not happy with Ron Mexico. Vick has repeatedly brought negative press to the team when Blank's goal has been to develop a new and positive image.

Yet another article with details. If this is true, this MF should burn.

Oh, it's true alright. Vick is pure EVIL! Surprisingly, it seems the only method of horrifically gruesome torture not employed by Vick and his diabolical posse was burning the dogs to death.

He'd notice it when it started leaking out his nose and ears 45 minutes into a conversation with Teddyhead.
 But I would much prefer to just :bash: him to death and get it over with faster.

Blank could easily have hitmen flown in from Tel Aviv and spare us the trial. They would be back in Israel before anyone even knew he was DEAD. I really wish he would facilitate this.

I guess that's the excuse for his short stay with the Dolphins, too?

Not sure if there are any Falcon fans in here, but if there are I really feel for you. I never thought getting rid of Matt Shaub would end up being such a bad move. I think Shaub has the potential to be better than Vick. Now when the team really needs him though he is gone. What a mess……
