Virginia is exactly as bad as I think and I wouldn't be surprised if they're worse.
Elliott is a bad coach and they're a less talented team than their bad team last year.
What's going to change? Heupel is demonstrating that his teams don't play down like we've had with some of our prior coaches.
I’m a UVA grad so I probably follow them closer than anyone on this board. They’re bad, really bad. Finishing 3-9 would be considered a good season. 0-12/1-11 isn’t out of the question.Yes, we should win comfortably, but I think we're all kind of sitting on the idea that this will be an easy blow out, like an Austin Peay type game, and that's not going to be the case. A few things to note:
-On paper they won 3 games last year, but they were likely going to win the last 2 that were cancelled, so they are a 5-7 team basically.
-They lost to UNC by 3, and lost to Miami in OT.
-Those two facts put together mean they were a few breaks away from having a winning record last year.
-A theory proven by Heupel (as well as Saban, and Kirby), the biggest jump is typically made between year 1 and year 2.
Again, it should be a comfortable win, but this isn't an FCS school and they aren't going to play like one. We should all have a fun, nervous excitement for this one.
And surely we learned from South Carolina last year to never underestimate anyone. No matter how piss poor they have been leading up to our game.

Just seeing this hit the news.
Chico Bennett Jr. UVA's top pass rusher is out this Saturday's game.
They’re no Clemson. We’ll cruise.Yes, we should win comfortably, but I think we're all kind of sitting on the idea that this will be an easy blow out, like an Austin Peay type game, and that's not going to be the case. A few things to note:
