He was raised in Starkville for awhile while his dad was in grad school at State and I believe his family is originally from the MS Gulf Coast so there’s a bit of a home connection there. Plus, MSU is everything LSU is minus the titles; you have a palace for a stadium and a gameday environment that’s every bit as good or better than LSU.I don't see why they aren't targeting Mississippi State coach. He's been successfully running a high-stress program and has taken his team to the CWS both years it's been available. He was moderately successfull for four years at Indiana before that.
