Have to weigh in here. I can speak from 1st hand exposure to most of the coaches in the SEC & ACC. Chad Holbrook would be a steal. * He has been a winner every where he has gone. *He is if not the best, one of the top 3 recruiters in the nation. Check out the Major League Rosters of all of his recruits from the Tarheels and now the Gamecocks.
* He knows the game and finds a way to get the best out of his players. Kids play hard for him. **** Name a candidate being interviewed that has been an integral part of more College World Series Teams, ACC Champion Teams & SEC Champion Teams, Regional & Super Regional Teams then Chad? There is none! * Highly Respected in baseball circles from Major League Scouts, College coaching peers & High School coaches as a fearless competitor. I do admit I do not know Coach Serrano and he gives UT an option of 2 Winners to choose from. My only concern is that he has been away from east coast style baseball and southeast recruiting for some time. Not that he cant make that up but I believe Chad has the advantage. Either candidate will make UT baseball successful and will give the Vols instant creditability
. HOPE WE DONT SCREW IT UP! Just my opinion
