I would like to see them change it up a tad on occasion, but, not stray too far from the traditional. I think the form fitting Adidas jerseys are pretty cool but for an alt maybe a checkerboard stripe down the legs or on the shoulder pads.

Checkerboards are fine for the endzones, but it looks like poo on a uniform. Leave them off, thank you.

DP how does it work in the football world with new coaches and the supplier? at some point will CBJ sit down with the Adidas liason and discuss uniforms? Also, do you think the players will ask CBJ as they did CDD for uniform changes?

Black jerseys, black helmets, black lettering, black numbers, gloves, facemasks...everything

I think we should do black and white checkerboard also, remove the Vol walk, rename Neyland Stadium, pick a new mascot, and no longer have the team enter in the T.

(Note: I am being sarcastic, but lots of people seem to think that by simply going w/ black uniforms for one game means we are stopping all traditions)

How many winning seasons have we had since? From your comment your are probably not very analytical.

You have to be the dumbest if the dumb.

And around here, that is saying something.

The color of the uniform has zero impact on the win/loss column.

You think maybe hiring a crappy Derek Dooley had something to do with the record?

Idiotic.

Of all of the fan attempts at this, I find this to be acceptable.

The first thing the Adidas people will do with the coaching staff is sit down with them about what sideline gear they prefer so that retailers will have plenty of what the coaches are going to be wearing. As you know, Adidas has a wide range of stuff that they make for every team, so picking out the gameday wardrobe from that selection is the most pressing matter.

Dave Hart is also involved in the uniform process. Don't expect significant changes, especially to the classic home uniform.

You may see a situation like what Michigan has where the home uniform is classic and untouched, but they are allowed to be more creative with the road uniform.

Also, it should be noted that Hart was behind the "Keep Tennessee Orange" campaign this year and instructed coaches (and Adidas) that black was not to be worn on the sideline, so people's dreams of doing black again may be futile.

The one change I would truly like to see in uniforms would be for the NCAA to repeal that silly rule which was originally established for the purposes of recognition on television that requires the visiting team to wear white jerseys. I mean are black/white televisions still available for purchase?

When Tennessee and Alabama line up against each other, I would rather see them in their crimson jerseys and Tennessee in orange jerseys. This was the norm as recently as 1967 if you recall that Sports Illustrated cover photo of Albert Dorsey breaking up a pass against the Tide (see The longest unbeaten streak in all college football ends - 10.30.67 - SI Vault ). The only instance in which it would still be justified to require one team to wear white would be if they have very similar color schemes (e.g. Notre Dame vs. Pitt or Tennessee vs. Texas).

I too could take or leave the checkerboard "stripe" but they have already started down that path with the undershirts. I definitely would not want to see it on uniform pants.
