It's OK to have "Pride Moments". Just don't throw it in our face. Fine line between the two. Bud Light has shown us where that line isyeah except all those other beer companies also have plenty of "pride" moments too. Unless people are switching over to Saudi (lol) or Russian beer/alcohol they aren't really taking that much of stance on the cultural war. There have been multiple videos about this.
all those other companies now profiting from AB's suffering is just as woke as AB. they just didn't have this particular trigger, which is why I am trying to figure out why this one specific event is so key.
Is Coors “woke support” in the form of rainbows and multi-colored cans, or did they put a picture of a transgender woman on the can?yeah except all those other beer companies also have plenty of "pride" moments too. BL didn't throw it in your face. there was ONE retweet of the person holding the one can with their face on it.It's OK to have "Pride Moments". Just don't throw it in our face. Fine line between the two. Bud Light has shown us where that line is
on A can. A can. A can they sent to this person. Is Coors “woke support” in the form of rainbows and multi-colored cans, or did they put a picture of a transgender woman on the can?
Any pushback on Trans is being conflated with an attack on all of LGBT. But they are not the same.
Yes. It was a novelty can that I think they only sent to her. And I think her tweet was just about the only marketing it received.on A can. A can. A can they sent to this person.
I don't have a dog in the fight. people are free to boycott anyone they want over whatever they want. I am just fascinated by the absolutely miniscule action by BL that caused this large and effective of a boycott. it just doesn't make sense to me how little people know about the actual events that triggered them.
seriously, go read up on what "all" went into this move by BL. They sent out about a dozen cans to different influencers, all with their faces on them. this ONE can was apparently too much.
its not like BL only sent cans to trans or LGBT people. its not like they came out against hetero's, or changed a slogan or added more estrogen to their crap beer. they sent a promotional item to influencers, and one of those influencers was apparently the worst choice imaginable, but only for some undefinable reason.

But it very clearly fired up former Bud Light drinkers in Iowa and West Virginia and Upstate New York and Idaho. That much is clear.
Coors putting a rainbow on their can, and selling it to the masses, is a non issue - hell their sales Up. Same with Miller, right?
So what is different about BL?

Oh it was a hammer. I already brought that up and Louder conceded that point.I think the release of the video with the VPs comments about changing the consumer base was the nail in the coffin.
BL didn't throw it in your face. there was ONE retweet of the person holding the one can with their face on it.
again, they didn't make him/her their spokesperson. They didn't even change their profile picture. They didn't run TV adds, radio adds, or anything that would have targeted their typical demographics. Besides the one retweet I never saw anything from BL online about it. People had to go out of their way to dig up this event to get pissed off about it.
So what exactly are you trying to say?BL didn't throw it in your face. there was ONE retweet of the person holding the one can with their face on it.

They sent multiple executives packing. They are not “ok” with it.I went to a wedding Saturday and when the reception started I went to the bar and jokingly ordered a Bud Light. The bar tender started laughing and told me they haven't had Bud Light at any of their events in months. I think Bud has pretty much screwed themselves. No firings though, so the board of directors must be okay with their results.
They canned the VP responsible for the Bud Light brand. She was the one that championed the pivot. She spearheaded the thing and talked about why she did it.Which ones were sent packing? The CEO is still there, and he is the one ultimately responsible for killing their stock price and sales.
Someone is finally seeing the problem...Which only goes to show the extent of the problem. The right has allowed the left to dominate the culture in general, because the right has not taken enough of these stands.
The left has had the media and academia for some time now. There's nothing new or recent on that frontSomeone is finally seeing the problem...
The right has assumed that just winning the arguments or debates would be enough since the days of Limbaugh and G. Gordon Liddy. But meanwhile, the left has taken over the media, the schools and the culture.
Show me where you read something that was "recent" in my wording.By your wording you made it sound like the takeover was a recent thing. If that was not your intent then I have no issue

Sounds like you're looking for an argument but I'll oblige.Show me where you read something that was "recent" in my wording.
I really dont know. That's why I am asking what made this event soooooo different.Yes. It was a novelty can that I think they only sent to her. And I think her tweet was just about the only marketing it received.
