Volinbham Talks Marketing and Bud Light

This would not be shocking. Brown Forman on their website clearly states a goal of increasing LGBT employees from 2% to 6% by 2030.

Why?

First, I don’t think they make up 6% of the population, so why are you trying to shoot for a number that over represents them?

Second, how do you even know if someone is LGBT? You can’t ask it in an interview.

Your new employee hiring is going to have to have a crazy high percentage of LGBT hires. If you currently had 2,000 LGBT employees among 100,000 employees and you projected to be at 110,000 employees by 2030, more than 40% of those new hires need to be LGBT. That is insane.

Sick of this **** as well as the vast vast majority. ****ing sick of corporate and governmental social engineering by a bunch of sickos

“Representative of the American people” is no longer the standard.

“Representative of the diverse coalition that elected Biden” is the new standard.

The quotas have increased dramatically.

What Percentage of Americans Are LGBT?

Bud Light's No-Win Scenario | ZeroHedge

The commercial ideas he has are trash without canning the whole marketing team and replacing it with non-progressive types. With the same leadership, the attempt has no value and falls flat. They've tried three different ideas with no return (camo cans, patriotic horse ad, massive discounts).

But they should also commit to their prior market publicly (can do this various ways) and understand it will take time because of the reasons he mentioned, equal competition. The part of budlights situation that would trouble me the most is a very negative stigma amongst my former cash cow market. Me personally? I'd bring back thr Real Men of Genius campaign heavily but the lead voice guy has passed so it won't be perfect.

All Coors and Miller have to do is be bland in their ads

Why does anyone drink any light beer? It all tastes like Secretariat's last urine sample.

With all the great craft beers out there now, I got one of those pressurized growler set ups. Holds 1.5 liter under pressure and lets me just go by the Casual Pint to grab whatever sounds good. The 21st century has some really great stuff.

Cheap, not filling, not harsh in taste, not high in %, you can drink it all day... just to name a few reasons.

Beer industry 'in shock' that Bud Light backlash continues as expert warns of supply shortages of rival lagers

The entire beer industry is floored that Bud Light is still taking heat over its now-infamous promo with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney and the backlash has put rival beers in high demand, according to the publisher of prominent trade publication Beer Business Daily.

"The whole industry is in shock. Even Bud's competitors aren't really dancing on the grave because they know it could have happened to them," Beer Business Daily editor and publisher Harry Schuhmacher told Fox News Digital.

Numbers keep getting a little worse every week. Odd, I was told right here on VN this couldn’t happen.

Generally agree. There are so many great tasting beers right now coming from smaller breweries.

But, if I’m on the lake all day, I just want something that closely resembles water. When its 95 degrees outside, an ice cold Bud Heavy or Miller Lite hits the spot.

plenty of light beers, lagers and pilsners, by smaller breweries. Emergency Drinking Beer has kinda meme'd itself into being a thing down here. Its exactly what it sounds like, its what you drink when you have NOTHING else, and barely counts as an ale. plenty of good beer for the outdoors beyond the name brand stuff.

I'm still curious as to how he knows what Secretariats piss tastes like.

You know the funny thing?

Before this disaster unfolded, I'd bet the vast majority of the population had no idea Bud Light was doing this 365 days of girlhood stuff.

So, from a marketing perspective, the campaign was already a disaster transformed into an epic disaster by having a man masquerading as a woman be a part of it.

Way to draw attention to your campaign lol

NFL legend Troy Aikman Blitzes beer brands that 'are taking shortcuts to gain consumers' amid Bud Light uproar

Dallas Cowboys legend Troy Aikman attempted Tuesday to appeal to beer-drinkers and took a shot at competitors amid the controversy over Bud Light’s marketing campaign with transgender female influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

Aikman, who owns Eight Elite Light Lager, tweeted a video trying to steer the conversation over to "what really matters."

"AUTHENTICITY MATTERS. Lately there's been a lot of talk about beer companies and not nearly enough conversation about what really matters – the beer itself," the three-time Super Bowl champion tweeted. "Some brands are taking shortcuts to gain consumers. We're committed to producing a first-class product. No hidden agenda. No distractions. Come join Team EIGHT."

this is why I really don't get the level of the response.

No one knew about it before. no one cared. and then sending a can to this chick with her face on it was apparently enough to nuke 25% of their sales? I would get it if they had branded all of their cans that way. But the company made one novelty can, sent that one novelty can to an on line influencer, so it wasn't even getting on TV; and that's enough for people who liked BL to boycott BL?

the level of outrage really doesn't match the act. I mean I am not arguing for people to stop, or to go back to drinking BL, but dang they got all Karen real fast.

Call it the straw that broke the camel's back. I think people have been force fed this trans stuff for so long they are focusing it all at Bud Light. But I also think the female (actual girl females) are pissed as well since of all the important women, they picked a guy who does a really poor impression of a dingy female. SSC basically said it's a slap in the face since the way he acts makes it seem like he's making fun of women.

Bud Light just happened to align in the crosshairs of people's anger. Call it Capitalism 101, they hit the target in the wallet instead of just griping about it.

Like you've never heard someone say a substance is horse piss. Did you ask how they knew? But knowing how you hogs like to roll around in your own feces, I would have thought you would avoid this topic.
