Volinbham Talks Marketing and Bud Light

Horrible interview. The CEO comes across as a clayhead. He did not answer the question "If you had it to do all over again, would you have done this?"

He also didn't answer the question of how much money they've lost over this

Here's the clip:

Anheuser-Busch U.S. CEO Brendan Whitworth discusses the boycott of Bud Light and their comeback strategy after Bud Light lost its top-selling status

BL didn't throw it in your face. there was ONE retweet of the person holding the one can with their face on it.

again, they didn't make him/her their spokesperson. They didn't even change their profile picture. They didn't run TV adds, radio adds, or anything that would have targeted their typical demographics. Besides the one retweet I never saw anything from BL online about it. People had to go out of their way to dig up this event to get pissed off about it.
We actually don't know if that's all they had planned. Once the push back happened, there were reports that execs were panicking and they probably killed the campaign. I doubt the vision that the former VP has only extended to one can and one retweet. It's likely the rest got sent to the trash can.

I take it you're a man. Just as I am and neither one of us can comprehend what DM portrays and the effect it has on a REAL woman. They are upset bc Bud Light was celebrating him for faking having a period when REAL women have REAL periods and everything that comes with that. It's a huge insult to them. To us, as men, sure, we don't care if someone acts like he does but it's belittling of women for you to say they shouldn't be offended.
My wife despises Mulvaney.

It was far more than one can. As I documented a few minutes ago, Dylan was "hired" by Budweiser. Just sending him/her a can is not hiring anyone. It went beyond that

Capitalism has consequences

Bear in mind, these Bud Light drinkers didn't quit drinking beer. They just moved their dollars to other beers. Other people are benefitting financially from this. Bud Light's loss is someone else's gain

Haven't seen a whole lot of empty Bud Light cans on the cruise so far. Some but far outweighed by Coors and Miller.

I found this clip interesting as Dylan M talks about Budweiser and how this has impacted her. What I took out of it was one word. She said Budweiser "hired" her. That means this went far further than just "sending one can" which is what the CEO said in the CBS interview and no one challenged him on that

Anheuser-Busch fires back after Dylan Mulvaney claims she was abandoned during Bud Light backlash
yeah, if you are outside consultant and you a company gets you to work on a one time project, you are still "hired". what term could she have used?

Bud wanted her to do a specific task for them and was compensating her financially. I guess you think she should have done it for free?

It doesn’t matter if it was 1 can or 1,000,000

The message was the same.

The CEO mentioned nothing about a one time project. All he said was "we sent her a can". If she was hired to do a project, I'd like to hear more

all right, I get it, the Karen's want to be triggered by it. power to them. I guess I don't understand being upset by someone else playing make believe. as I said to Sea Ray, hopefully they don't buy any beer because they ALL do it.
Mulvaney's a sissy dude pretending to be a woman. He's over the top with the girly affectations; that's not how women act.
Women don't appreciate that and it's understandable that they don't. How beloved by the black community were blackface actors doing stepen fetchit shyte? Do people from Tennessee appreciate New Yorkers mocking them? Same principle.

The human cost of Bud Light's $20B Dylan Mulvaney fiasco: Two Bottling Plants are Forced to Cut Production and Lay-Off 645 Staff due to decline in demand for the troubled brand

  • The Ardagh Group announced last week it was shuttering its Wilson, North Carolina, and Simsboro, Louisiana, plants
Bud Light's sales have plummeted so much that a glass bottling company was forced to shut down two of its plants and lay off nearly 650 employees.

The Ardagh Group, one of the largest glass producers in the world, announced last week it was shuttering its Wilson, North Carolina, and Simsboro, Louisiana, plants on July 17. The Wilson plant employed nearly 400 people, and the Simsboro plant had 245 — all of whom now find themselves without jobs.

The company did not cite a reason for the closures in its statement, just saying it was part of a 'multi-year performance optimization program.'

But an investigation by WRAL found Ardagh was forced to close the plants due to declining sales of Bud Light — one of its major contractors.
