Bud Light Plummets To 14th Place Among Beers As Anheuser-Busch CEO Pleads For Consumers To Think Of The 65,000 Employees Impacted By Boycotts

Key paragraph:

"While Anheuser-Busch has attempted to downplay Mulvaney's role in its overall strategy, Whitworth confirmed that the company will maintain its partnerships without making any changes. He did not explicitly apologize for the collaboration with Mulvaney, despite some consumers demanding an official acknowledgment of the mistake as a prerequisite for restoring their patronage."

Whitworth is sorry, but he's not sorry.

Don’t the 65,000 lost or impacted jobs simply go to the other beer brands that are replacing Bud Light? Mexicans want to work as well. And those workers probably aren’t being used as poker chips in ridiculous union demands.

Molson Coors stock is now up 28.2% since the fiasco.
Coors Light Pride cans helped the company raise funds for the LGBTQ+ community

keep thinking you are teaching them to not go woke. Coors had their own pride can they actually sold to the public.

How Coors Light Supports the LGBTQ+ Community - Denver Pride
"Molson Coors has proudly earned a perfect 100 score on the Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index, which measure companies’ internal LGBTQ+ policies and external practices. "

Did Coors hire a cross dresser and put their face on a can?

Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index???

I guess hire the best people, provide the best product, and offer it at the best price you can are outdated concepts for business.

Rainbows are different than putting a guy in a dress on your can.
SELLING thousands of cans to the general public that people will actually use that are celebrating pride is less offensive than one can used for marketing?

This is the part I don't get. How dare BL have one offensive can on the internet, now hand me that rainbowed Coors so I can put my lips on something long, hard, and rainbowed and drink it like a real man.

There’d have been a lot of DM cans had the BL consumer base not made their feelings known. That “one” can must be the most seen can of beer in the history of beer.

Are you not listening to this community? They tell us the rainbow signifies inclusivity and diversity. OK, nothing wrong with that

Dylan Mulvaney is celebrating a year of womanhood with BL's support. I don't think Dylan is a woman. I refuse to buy into this delusion, therefore I'm not buying the product. Can't see the difference? I see a big difference.

Don't ask these nuts to explain the butthurt. It will never make sense.

Leftists always distort the truth. Like a transgendered person reading to elementary kids. That’s not that big of a deal. Sexualized performances in front of kids is where they’ve pushed the story time. Same with the parades. Keep the inappropriate attire and visuals out of it and it’s an entirely different discussion.

This again? For what the 5th time?

Yes - Coors has been putting rainbows on cans for years now. Has no impact on people drinking Coors Light. That is obvious.

You clearly don’t like the Bud Light fallout, but your “lack of understanding” seems like willfull ignorance at this point.

I'm just glad people are maybe realizing Bud Light sucks. There are literally dozens of better light beers for a hot day or whatever excuse most people use.

Are you actually Brendan Whitworth?

The only way to save whatever value that remains of the Bud Light brand is to fire Whitworth ASAP...
I am surprised he hasn't been forced aside. He's shown a stunning lack of leadership here and zero vision for how to clean this up. Doesn't matter if you agree with the boycott or not. His job is to protect shareholder value and he hasn't demonstrated he's capable of doing that.

You are to the point where you need a BoD overhaul as well....

A "pound of flesh" and brand reboot is the only way to save BL now....

People have been realizing that for a while, which is why BL made the stupid decision to begin with to put Mulvaney on the can. They don't really know how to stop the decline, so they waded into the culture wars (ESPN does the same thing).

Their market share and sales have been stagnant for over a decade due to craft.

Yeah, guilty. I don't understand stupidity or snowflakeness. whichever it is I have no interest in understanding.

so the idea of inclusivity and marketing it is ok, but an entity actually putting it into practice is unacceptable?
