It’s ridiculous that Alabama will get in over us if we lose to Georgia and beat Vanderbilt. We would have the same record and would have beaten them head to head and beaten the other team that beat them. When we beat Alabama the narrative was that they weren’t as good as everybody thought, but now everybody is back in the bandwagon. Of course if we beat Georgia the narrative will be about how Georgia wasn’t really very good to begin with.Alabama and Ole Miss win out they are in no matter what happens with us and Texas can lose and still stay in so that leaves GA/UT fighting for the last spot unless AM wins the SEC..
Yawn. They are blowing smoke at IU and BYU knowing full well both will drop like rocks with a loss.
It doesn’t make sense that they would jump us. If the playoff committee thought we were better than them in the first playoff ranking what happened this past weekend to change that? We won more handily than either of them with our backup quarterback playing in the second half.I don't understand BYU and Indiana. We would clean their clock.
Also outside of that top win, the rest of Tennessee's resume at this point is unfortunately...not great. There's a fair chance that 6-6 Vanderbilt might end up being Tennessee's third strongest game/opponent in the regular season (and if UT loses to UGA, then 6-6 Vanderbilt might very well end up being up there as UT's second best win / strongest opponent won for the year...)Dude, UGA was 3rd then dropped 9 spots to 12 and out. They have the best win of the season and their 2 losses are to #10 and #11 on the road. Compare that to the Vols if we lose to UGA. We will have a worse loss and a lower ranked top win. Doesn’t matter if we are ranked 5th or 7th, if we lose they will drop us at least 8 spots.
And which SEC team with a shot at the playoff has the coldest weather? Upper South ftw.Mildly off topic but worth discussing imo. Many of us have heard B1G fans always say SEC teams refuse to play up north in November. This Michigan man chair person for playoffs committee doesn't even seem to be trying to hide the fact they are going to try and place several B1G teams home playoff games in December making SEC teams play in cold elements to definitely make an impact.
