I like hearing we are kicking the tires on Fadil Diggs... I wish we would get involved with Trey Moore (edge) from UTSA. I think he was like 2nd/3rd in country in total sacks. Could be a Jared verse type transfer. Pair him with James Pearce great edge rush. (Same with diggs)...

Also hope we get some traction with Kamari Ramsey from UCLA. This would be a big get...

Think we all prefer Staes, but the references I am seeing from VQ and elsewhere is you take the 1st commitment. More likely is Dingle.

According to VQ, as soon as one is in, the other will no longer be interested in TN. If we sign two TEs out of the portal it will be Dingle or Staes and then someone else (possibly Bauer Sharp?). Also, they mentioned that if you somehow did sign Staes and Dingle, Ethan Davis would likely leave.

The staff lately has been making it really hard for me to get behind their recruiting tactics, at one of our biggest needs we are pursuing 2 fcs dbs, one position of need we are only pursuing one guy, and another we are being extremely picky because we dont want to hurt the one guy’s feelings because he practices good?

No official offers have come for the four-star defensive back coming out of Arizona State but a lot of programs are showing significant interest. That list includes Penn State, Colorado, West Virginia, Georgia, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Michigan so far.

Nothing against either. They'd be good pickups, there are just guys I like better.

It is possible that the disconnect between you and the coaches goals is the current players. I would offer a hypothesis that the issue you are frustrated with staff over is not who they target outside the team, but how they protect inside the team.

We seem to lose less players than other teams. The DB's for example all seem to have been to make room for guys we have. Why would you then bring in portal guys that could create the same friction? Many of rhe portal guys us fans would most like to see us target we have good players at. Nolan is one, qb which is half of what KY picked up is another.

Could we use a backup to Nico? Sure, but is that a portal guy that wants to play now? No...

Areas we seem to be willing to pursue some talent:
TE, WR, (outside only), interior OL, interior DL.
