I'm not saying she's "cool " with it, but riding your sex appeal to a governorship doesn't exactly set an example for chaste behavior.

I can't comment on her run for governor, don't know what she did that was so sexual. I saw her VP stuff. She is an attractive woman and dresses nicely. I don't think she made any attempt to diminish her sex appeal as the VP candidate but also don't feel she did anything over the top to accentuate it. I don't think a wife/mom needs to represent herself as an absolute prude in order to be able to espouse the idea of abstinence to her kids and not look like a hypocrite.

Do you honestly think she would have ever been as much as a city council member if you combined her views with Janet Reno's looks? Also, she never stopped the Alaska Tourism Committee's "We've Got The Hottest Governor" campaign. She's nothing more than Sydnee Steele masquerading as Nancy Reagan.

Most good looking people use their good looks to their advantage. If they don't use them, other people make sure they get used, either way it happens.

My dispute in all of this is the bold above. That does not constitute hypocrisy. You can make a case for it with your other stuff, but the above is not hypocrisy.

Sadly, there's not much of a market out there for politicians trying to get elected based on intelligence.

I think Obama's campaign was a LOT better than ole johnny's. John Mccain was a weak conservative at best and never got the base of the party to follow him.

I agree that Obama is a smart individual and his campaign was run much better than that of mcCain but the things Obama is doing as president are anything but smart......unless of coarse you don't believe in the constitution and allowing one man to dictate the terms to capitalism.

being an excellent public speaker does not necessarily make you smart. palin herself proved that. i have yet to have seen anything else out of obama that indicates independent and/or intelligent thought.

I must have missed when Palin proved to be a competent public speaker. The ability to elicit cheers from gun toting, Bible thumping rubes isn't exactly proof she's Churchill.

she got spectacular reviews during the republican convention. the mistake made was going off the teleprompter. a mistake obama never makes (to his credit i guess).

Exactly. But we are supposed to believe the greatest human being to have ever existed is the current POTUS and at the same time someone like her can't tie her shoes. Yea right.

Some of them. The rest of them are busy blowing up the Murrah Federal Building in OKC, protesting at veterans' funerals, and playing commando in the woods throughout the nation.
