I hope Martin works out and stays.
If it doesn't work out, I'll be forever grateful of last season's beatdown of UK, which is one thing Martin has done that Bruce wouldn't have.
So you were trolling but you were being serious? Tell me why Pearl wouldn't make the tourney with this team.
Because this team has to run half court sets to win (which Pearl is very mediocre at coaching), and within those sets, it has no one it can reliably kick out to to hit a three when the defense collapses inside (which Pearl always had when he was here). Essentially, this is a grind it out, Big 10 style roster, and BP doesn't have the sophistication to win that way unless he has five star guards who never miss free throws or open threes.
He's not an awful coach, and I can respect that he revived this program, but there's a reason that Kansas, Kentucky, or even Purdue or Oklahoma State are not lining up to hire him when he becomes eligible again. He belongs at a bottom feeding hoops program in a good conference (Va Tech, Minnesota, or Texas Tech).
Martin s recruiting has been a huge disappointment. And no incoming players to get excited about. Unless you find the NIT exciting.
So grateful for one outlier win vs Kentucky?I hope Martin works out and stays.

Stokes played well today but has he really lived up to his billing? Hubbs played more like a walk on prior to his injury.

You are out of your freaking mind. Question - Is CCM sophisticated enough to win or even coach a "Big 10 style roster"?
Why would Kansas or Kentucky go after him? That arguement ust shows how dumb you areBecause this team has to run half court sets to win (which Pearl is very mediocre at coaching), and within those sets, it has no one it can reliably kick out to to hit a three when the defense collapses inside (which Pearl always had when he was here). So Cuonzo should not have recruited them? He should have had crystal bowl that would tell him that their 5 star ratings were not going to pan out how you imagined (and we have not even seen what Hubbs will do when he is healthy)? Was Calipari also wrong because he offered Stokes as well?
The ignorance on this forum is sometimes too much to take.
Okay genius, enlighten me about the one game changing PG or scoring guard he has recruited. Other than Stokes, how about an impact post player? Yeah that's what i thought.
