War in Ukraine

Another bad day for Ukraine.

Russia continues to move toward Nikolaev as it has for the last few days. I guess they got tired of waiting for that big Ukrainian counter on Kherson.

Ukraine did try and mount a counter near Bakhmut that ended in total defeat for Ukraine (with high casualties), as usual.

So much for the HIMARS being a game changer. Nothing has changed. As I predicted.

So which is it Larry? The bridge is repaired or they excelled at building a pontoon bridge and don’t need the roadway anymore? 🤡

Pontoon bridge is likely there in case they finally do take out the bridge, but even your video shows Russian trucks crossing the bridge. I hate to take away one of your guys few wins, buy hey, maybe they will get it next time.

Ah yes so it’s 4D chess then. Pootin has fully repaired the bridge while at the same time having built a pontoon bridge which clearly isn’t as easily targetable as the main bridge. Genius… 🤡

So you quote your own post - itself naturally lacking any sources - and then make the grandiose claim that HIMARS is a bust.

Seems legit.

Moving on Nikolaev. Bakhmut, Sivers'k close to falling, leaving only Kramatorsk as the last real defense line. Counteroffensives once again thwarted with heavy casualties. Yeah, HIMARS is a bust. As the guy that runs New Atlas acct. said, and made a good point, HIMARS isnt really any better than what Ukraine started the war with (Merch launcher?). Expecting them to be a game changer wasnt really fair to begin with, especially with so few of them (with atleast half already being destroyed).

Whomever “the guy” is must be as clueless as you then Larry since even the shortest range rockets fired by HIMARS are unmatched by anything in the Russian artillery inventory.

That is laughable.
It’s actually fact Larry. HIMARS rockets shoot farther and strike with better accuracy than anything in the Russian artillery inventory. Womp womp

M142 HIMARS: The US Artillery Tearing Into Russia in Ukraine | HistoryNet

Its payload is a pod of six M30/M31 GMLRS rockets, two PrSM missiles or a Lockheed Martin ATACMS missile. These surface-to-surface missiles are navigated by satellite and could travel up to 52 miles with a one-yard deviation to the target — a range and accuracy surpassing those of all its contemporaries. For comparison, the Russians’ Soviet-era BM-27 Uragan (“Hurricane”) 220 mm multiple rocket launcher has a range of 20 miles with a half-mile margin of error. Although it only holds one missile pod, rather than the two on the MLRS, the more agile HIMARS is designed to “shoot and scoot,” regularly changing positions at a speed of up to 53 mph — in addition to which it is air-portable.

When is Russia going to finish this thing off anyway? You know, six months and counting pretty much dispels every thing you've been saying.

Sadly, it looks to the last Ukrainian.
Oh that sounds so sad Larry. Tragic even. But let’s play that out. There are around 45M people in Ukraine. So even at your generous kill ratio of 10:1 that’s 4.5M dead Russians. And at the current causality rates that will go on for more than a decade. That’s no problem at all for Russia to sustain though amirite?

Nothing. Because they don't exist anywhere outside of your head and on your Russian Internet Troll 101 Guidebook.
I'm not the one who said it was going to bring Russia to its knees. Pretty sure it was your pal Septic.

And what happened to that Kremlin coup?

Or held hostage by the russian occupiers to be human shields.

And I have never said that Ukraine was going out of their way to avoid civilian casaulties, especially amongst the rebels/traitors/terrorists. I have also advocated for quick warfare to avoid civilian involvement as much as possible, unlike some who have cheered the genius of long drawn out conflicts. Maybe you are starting to see why it's a bad idea.

And like I have further said, if it wasnt for Russia they never would have been rebels at all. Or at the very least, armed rebels. Russias military involvement from 2014 onwards is what made this situation as bad as it was.
Blah blah blah. Same old nonsense and the usual denial every single time.

It's been well documented what the Ukrainian military has done in the Donbas. You and others refuse to believe it. Plus we had no business helping oust a democratically elected leader in Yanukovych in the first place.

McCain should have been playing golf in Scottsdale or trying to help secure the border instead of helping his pals in the military industrial complex.

The only win they can claim is Snake Island.
