War in Ukraine

[
Russia has lost three capital ships? And by commercial vessels you mean those commandeered by the military to transport military equipment in occupied waters? And I am also assuming we are currently at war or in a special military operation in Afghanistan?

Also what has been refueled or flown back to NATO? because I know nothing has come back to or from the States.

I never called for, or wanted, the US to go after Russia for arming the Afghanis, so try something else.

Its a hypothetical question. At some point, yes, the United States/Europe is providing more than just supplies, they have admitted to such.

Also what has been refueled or flown back to NATO?

Well, how do supplies get from one country to the next? Even fighter planes were being transported from Poland (NATO).

The whole thing is bat **** crazy, Russia bad but Europe and United States keep giving them money. LOL If Russia is bad, why are they buying Russia goods?

(this isn't necessarily against you per se, the whole thing is bat **** crazy like Syria/Afghanistan/etc)

Why is the Ukraine allowing Russian gas to go through the Ukraine? Why should anyone care if Ukrainians are dying especially since they are doing commerce with the Russians? LOL

All strategic positions occupied in the Zaporozhye region are under the strict control of the Akhmat special forces. This is reported by my dear BROTHER, the commander of the OMON "Akhmat-Grozny" of the RF FSVNG for the Chechen Republic Anzor Bisaev.

Our fighters control absolutely all the occupied points, carry out high-quality interaction with their colleagues from other military formations and smash the Ukrofascist Bandera and foreign mercenaries.

We have no doubts about the fighting qualities of our guys. They have already shown themselves excellently during the liberation of Mariupol, Lisichansk and other large cities and towns. At this stage, the fighters of the Akhmat special forces are only waiting for an order to advance into battle.

I wish the guys further success in the course of the special military operation! AHMAT-POWER!

LOL, the only thing Russia is in control of is your mind. > < (insert clown emoji here)

They are allowing the gas because it's not the economic war you want it to be.

Which is also why countries are still buying from each other as much as possible.

I would imagine the logistics is run by NATO up to the border, then Ukraine has to come get it and transport across the border.

If you want to argue that transport and arming is part of war does that mean that NK and China are at war with the west?

The siding of people with Ukraine is probably 50% old hatred of Russia if they are old enough, I am not, and 50% Ukraine was attacked. As the institigator of physical confrontation Russia is going to be the bad guy, even if Ukraine is a bad guy themself. It's the easiest narrative to buy and has been applied for more than 30 years. Russia violated another countries border, that's always going to be worse than some vague threat that has never come to fruition in more than 30 years.

Stopped at 1st sentence.

If a person lives permanently in Ukraine, they're Ukrainian, not Russian.

Period.

Russia was not "protecting its citizens" when it invaded Ukraine, it attacked Ukrainians in their sovereign country.

/end

The crazy thing is, they were worried about NATO on their border - now they have to worry about a seriously pissed off Ukraine at their border.

BTW, newsflash: We're the wealthiest country in the world. So when you talk about being broke, I guess you're just referring to your own impecunity.

We are near the bottom of the world in debt to GDP ratio.

It's called "taxes" Bubba. Don't like em? Move elsewhere.

We don't know how to collect more than 18% - 21% of GDP in tax revenue. We've been playing with the tax code for 50 years trying to get more revenue and we can't figure it out. We need 14% of our tax revenue just to service the debt, and these numbers are getting worse over time.

This is basic math. Face the facts.

First, it's 12.2% goes to service debt, not 14%

Second, do you have a mortgage? What % of your revenue do you need to service that debt?

Got a car loan? Add that in.

Betcha you're at 30%+ of your income if you're young. No? Less? Then you're older or wealthly.

Think about that: Most people owe debt on cars, homes, student loans, credit cards, stuff... yet the same people criticize our government for doing the same thing.

Hypocrisy.

If people understood that our government debt is actually SIGNIFICANTLY less than that of our personal debt, they'd be OK.

Instead, folks read 20 trillion and lose their sh*t.

In FY 2021 total government spending was $6.82 trillion and total revenue was $4.05 trillion, resulting in a deficit of $2.77 trillion, a decrease of $359.74 billion from the previous fiscal year.

If I told you I made $100,000 a year but was spending $144,000 a year would you describe my household finances as being in good shape? Not a problem? If I told You I have kept this pattern up for over 20 years when would you say my household is screwed?

Economics 101: When does the US actually pay off our debts?

Even if you are right, you really going to quibble over 1.8%? The point remains.

A mortgage is backed by an appreciating asset, and I'm at less than 60% LTV. I have 0 car loans. I'm 40 with 2 young kids at home, so you got the wrong guy.

Going into debt for foreign quagmires is not remotely comparable to taking on an asset-backed loan. I'm much wealthier in terms of net worth because I took on this mortgage.

Furthermore, I am living within my means as I service this "debt". The US government is living well outside their means, which is why the national debt grows every year while my personal debt gets smaller.

I can't even believe you came back with this, dude.

1% of our US budget is too much to spend on Ukraine eh? Heh.

Being 40, you missed out on most of the Cold War. USSR where we spent ummm... umpteen bazillion over 40+ year WITH THE SOLE PURPOSE OF DEFEATING RUSSIA.
