War in Ukraine

Russia isnt taking anything. A referendum was held, areas voted to join Russia and it should be respected, just as the US and UN respected Kosovo's.

Like I said, irrefutable. The US made these rules, and Russia is following them.

That you actually believe a legitimate democratic vote was held speaks directly to your naiveté.

And oh btw, is that the standard you advocate?

(1) Invade a sovereign country.
(2) Set example by torturing and executing the remaining citizens that didn't move away.
(3) Hold referendum overseen solely by invading country.

Seems legit.

Cute ending. But your words betray you. You care a whole lot about Russia and Ukraine. Think about the number of posts you have in this thread. You are a liar. We know that. And now are lying to yourself. Get help. Aren't RAS crazy but close

Odds are that @volgr and possibly @Rasputin_Vol are either Russian or of direct Russian descent. I've got a friend that's a waitress at my watering hole, and she's Russian. Spends most the year here, then returns to her family farm for a month or so.

She loves Putin. Says he's done so many things to help their economy, etc. She obviously doesn't want to talk about Ukraine, but it's clear her mind is made up.

There's no reaching these people like Ras and Vlgr and LSU. They see what they see and believe what they want - regardless of truth and reality.

The good news is Russia will lose this war and Putin will be forcefully removed from power. The question then becomes, will the Russian Federation dissolve? It's a distinct possibility, and raises new problems as there are a sh*t ton of nukes throughout the country.

But all in all, I'll celebrate Putin's dirt nap.

Our resident stooges will disappear, and life will go on.

You don’t need much air defense when an alleged military superpower has failed to achieve air superiority after 7 months of war.
What you say doesn't even make any sense. If Russia doesn't have air superiority, then why are the Ukrainians begging for air defense systems?

Points 2 and 3 are fabrications used to evoke emotions because you cant refute my (and others) rock solid reasoning. That is all your side has as refutation, emotional fabrications. It's the same playbook we saw for 4 years, it went from "Orange man bad" to "Russian man bad".

Similar to how the Donbas asked Russia for help? The same war Assad asked Russia for help?

So if southern Florida wanted Cuba to come in and wanted part of America that makes it ok? Seriously dude, listen to yourself.

Assad asked for Russia help because his people turned on him and wanted him gone. There was an open revolt in the country. He went to Russia so he could keep power like any dictator does. Nothing less, nothing more.

I guess if you compare potatoes and strawberries it's in the ballpark.

Perhaps you should read up on Ariel Henry and how he's basically installed himself as a dictator.
In a country with no stability and no real leadership with horrible problems. Not saying what he's done is right or wrong but the chutney has pressing needs their government isn't capable of providing.

I care that people are being needlessly slaughtered over there when it is very likely a peace deal could have been reached if not for US involvement. I care about idiots like you trying to drag my Country into WW3.

They had outside observers monitoring the Elections. So, we can put that talking point to bed.
Who were these outside monitors and from where? Were they also at gunpoint? The elections were hastily done to legitimize their invasion and because Ukraine was taking it's land back in large sections at the time.

For what it's worth I wouldn't trust an election Ukraine had hastily manufactured under those conditions either.

The fact you see them and the ridiculous, simply unbelievable results as legitimate is comedy.

Wow. So you deny the reality that Russia has tortured and executed citizens in occupied Ukraine.

What's it like living in an alternate, imaginary reality?

Is the US attacking southern Florida and targeting Cubans living there? Have Cuban areas been denied the ability to hold referendums? You guys make these idiotic comparisons while leaving out all pertinent context.

Why is it our business to get involved with a country whose leader has declared himself both President and Prime Minister? Sounds like we would be supporting a dictator. Let the people of Haiti solve this problem. It's not our place to get involved.

I've been told that we can't just go around questioning the results of an election. So why are doing it?

Your claim was, "Set example by torturing and executing the remaining citizens that didn't move away." That is entirely false and ridiculous. Have Ukrainians been tortured and executed? Very likely. Is it more likely that has taken place by local militia's who have seen their friends and family tortured or harassed over the last 8 years? Very likely. This to say nothing of the grotesque torture and execution videos (that Ukrainians proudly post on their social media) of Russian/Allied soldiers and local citizens who were said to have helped Russian forces (which you guys conveniently never mention).

Again, this is being used as an emotional argument (one sided at that) due to your lack of a factual argument.

Not only isn't it our place but looking back over the last 30 years of absolute foreign policy failures by our Gov't, it is highly likely our involvement will only make things worse for the people of Haiti.

People in this thread call Putin a dictator but also have the audacity to support dictatorships in Ukraine and Haiti. It's rather mind boggling.
