War in Ukraine

Ras (and the other Russian posters) don't know squat about the military, let alone the US one.
I know relatively little about the operational side if things. But I have seen a clear difference the regulars and the weekend warriors. Yeah those guys who went to afghanistan have a completely different vibe. But I doubt Russia's pensioners from Afghanistan are capable of much.

Part of diplomacy is give and take... You act like diplomacy is the other side meeting 100% of our terms. Anything less than that, you all call capitualtion.
Uh, you talking about Russia with Minsk? Also going to need to know Russias vested interest where they as neutral third party helping the negotiations got involved in the war they were supplying.

Where is their air defense? Where are the Warthogs? Where are the Abrams tanks? Where is the Million Man Army? Where is Starlink? Where are those switchblade drones? How is that Kerch Bridge attack working out?

Goodness, if they had those things, Zelensky would be in Red Square by Friday.

It has to be painful for you to have to reconcile that your team is losing to Ukraine.

Ukraine.

Let it sink in.

I hope so.

Proxy wars where our enemy gets sh*t on and American lives aren't risked - heck yeah. All day.

You posted all the gagillions of dollars that the U.S. has sent to Ukraine? How much of that was equipment value versus cash?

Let this sink in to your thick skull... we've spent double in 9 months what our 12 month budget was in Afghanistan.

And of what strategic importance does Ukraine have with the average person in the US? Or for that matter, what significant importance does Przewodow, Poland... a place I guarantee 100% of you clowns have never heard of before yesterday, have for Americans? Yet, you all were rubbing your hands together and smacking your lips hoping for an Article 5 triggering.
Oh please regale me in your profound knowledge of Przewodow. I cant wait for this clowning.

Using your anaolgy, the country of Ukraine in its present configuration was a creation of the USSR that cobbled together the property of 4 other neighbors (Russia, Hungary, Romania and Poland). So at the very least, all Russia is doing is getting its property back (Novorossiya).
Then maybe they should have a chat with the Soviets...

russia lost the cold war and largely the cultural war, that has consquences.

We?

How many times do I have to remind you?

You aren't one of us.

You're rooting against the U.S. and the west. EAD Ras, you're a pootin sychophant and you will remain the subject of our mockery and disdain, stop pretending to be an objective bystander.
Well the Russians dont exactly do diplomacy either.

Ukraine hasnt joined NATO. Russia still holds large areas of Ukraine. In their mind, if no one else's they have expanded Russias borders.

All is too absolutist.
He says Russia failed everything they set out to do, which they have. Remember, it was take Ukraine over in 3 days. 10 months in and they still don't have air superiority and have retreated back to the places they were providing state sponsored terrorism support. They spin the retreats as Butch Jones-esque moral victories but they are all humiliating defeats.

When you agree to something and figure out you don't like the agreement sometime later that's not give and take. Russia annexed Crimea and part of Ukraine is in the way. That's basically the heart of the matter. Don't take what's not yours and everybody stays happy.

Lada by Lada seems like an apt description for this special military operation

BS we never promised Western tanks or jets.
Ukrainian Fighter Pilots Are Training On DIY A-10 Warthog Simulators

Is Reznokov a liar?
Ukraine's defense minister ‘optimistic’ about new tanks, fighter jets from allies
“I’m really optimistic that Abrams tanks are possible in the future and I am sure that fighter jets like F-16s, F-15s, or Gripen from Sweden will also be possible,” Oleksii Reznikov said in a wide-ranging interview about the state of the war and rebuilding the Ukrainian defense industry.

Novorossiya is Russian. Have you heard of Catherine The Great? Potemkin?

If the pro-Russian side were completely open to talks yes but they are never satisfied. They violated Minsk by continuing the assault on Debaltseve even after Minsk II came into effect.
The pro-Russian side had initially voted by referendum in 2014 to join Russia, but Putin refused their admittance. Instead, Putin chose to have a ceasefire agreement and to not break up the Ukraine at that time. He chose a diplomatic route that had Germany and France as co-signers of the Minsk Agreements. The Kyiv regime and the West were the ones that didn't hold up their end of the bargain. And you even had John McCain and Lindsey Graham flying over to show support for the Kyiv regime to violate the ceasefire.

"Optimistic" and "Possible" are not concrete promises...
Wow... So you would use weasel words like that with alleged allies also? Similar to how the agreement to not move NATO east was an agreement that wasn't in writing?

You are showing your colors today. I can't believe you would support weasel legalese.

You still didn't address the fact the pro-Russian side also violated the cease fire agreements both Minsk I and II. If they had respected the cease fire Debaltseve would still have been Ukrainian in 2015.
