War in Ukraine

We did defeat the Taliban, defeated them handily. Our ROE let them regroup in Pakistan and come back but our military definitely defeated them.

No, not wrong at all. We defeated the Taliban, drove them out of Afghanistan for the most part but our political apparatus allowed them to exist and prosper in Pakistan.

Sounds like strategic retreats and regroupings... They played the long game and conserved lives of troops. What were they supposed to do? Stand there and take a stand and die against superior fire power? Or live to fight another day and conserve the lives of their men?

If we truly defeated them then they never would have returned back to power. Apparently your brain is having trouble processing this basic fact.

Didn't the Ruskies defeat the Nazis? If so why did they have to invade Ukraine? I do recall you parroting that they had to take out the Nazis in Ukraine as a reason for the war.

They played it smart and used our weaknesses against us.

It does make a difference. From top to bottom the Russian military is inept and ill equipped, they couldn't defeat a peer or even near peer regardless of what their civilian leadership decided (minus nukes).
Russia fought the first 6-8 months of this conflict with restrictions and limited boots on the ground. It hasn't been until recently that the Russians have actually had a numerical advantage in the battle field. And it wasn't until late September's Kerch Bridge and Nordstream bombings that they decided to step things up to US-Iraq levels.

Since you got all this mouth about Russia's military, explain how they were able to clean up things in Syria and get the US proxies (ISIS and Free Syrian Army) out of the way for Assad.

Any "superpower" should have been able to take Ukraine within 60 days under the same ROE.

They didn't clean yo Syria. It was us and the Kurds that kicked the **** out of ISIS.

Seems like Russia was losing going into the winter a few times in the past too.

The only restriction the Russian military has is its self imposed incompetence Moe.

I have a feeling you really don't sit down and analyze things and research events. Once Russia was invited by the Syrian government to get involved ISIS pretty much became
irrelevant. They did more to fight ISIS in Syria than we ever did

And their opposition isnโ€™t dealing with long unsustainable resupply logistics
Yeah again thanks to our government (for writing seemingly a blank check)
