What Happened in Vuhledar? A Battle Points To Major Russian Military Problems

By one account, nearly three dozen Russian tanks and armored vehicles were reduced to smoldering rubble. By another, as many as 500 Russian troops may have been killed. Relatives of soldiers from one unit are frantically trading text messages and social-media posts trying to locate their loved ones.

More than two weeks after a major clash between Russian and Ukrainian forces, details are slowly emerging as to what exactly happened in Vuhledar earlier this month.

They need to keep those texts and calls going. Makes it so much easier for Ukraine to track down Russian soldiers when they read and respond. Cellphones will literally be the death of some people ... and figuratively for a lot of the rest.

Why not? We were stupid enough to outsource strategic, the bulk of our seafood, and clothing and other common domestic merchandise to China. In short, gave them the rope and gallows to hang us with. Stupidity is as stupidity does.
Thank a union for those.

I really can't believe these people are seriously justifying a war with a nuclear power over an industry that we chose to outsource to Taiwan.

I guess we should go to war with the Dominican Republic since they are taking all of these MLB jobs from American players.
We should just invade and take Taiwan. And then if China has a problem they are the one provoking a nuclear power

Just the way it is. Should be a buttload of excess 105mm laying around the world. Original M1 used 105mm
Maybe. But as of now, they ain't sending it to Ukraine. Olaf Scholz already got turned away in Latin America. Europe/NATO is tapped out. That just leaves Africa and former Central Asian republics.

Good luck with that scavenger hunting...

The USA should have an unreal amount that is no longer used at all.
Well maybe a few Strykers have a 105

The 105 was probably in production for 30 years alll the way back to the M60. Not like we are talking that many tanks of any variety anyways.
The first M1’s also had the rifled 105. The M68A1 that traces to the same L7 series gun in the Leo 1

Probably the best solution for Moldova. It wouldn't require that many forces to roll over the Russian forces in Transnistria and the local militia and it would allow them to seize the largest ammo dump in Europe. Over 20,000 tons of Soviet era weapons are held at the Cobasna depot.
