War in Ukraine

Mission creep is real. I asked you before when we sent in Patriots and now F-18s... what is the next step if these weapons are not the gamechangers that you all hope for? Do we negotiate a peace deal or do we escalate? Looks like you are in the crowd that supports the "whatever it takes" strategy. So right now, we are moving in the direction of a direct conflict between NATO and Russia. It likely will not be the US necessarily with boots on the ground, but it will likely be Poland, Germany, The Baltic States and/or Romania.
Russia has it's hands full right now. If those states did enter the conflict Russia would be done, they would nuke the whole damn thing........ You know it.......I know it.

I know what happened there the two scenarios are no where near the same. The US nor the West is going to directly engage Russia when the return on our investment now is more than enough.
It is unbelievable that you guys call war an investment. What return on that investment did the average American see in exchange for the hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian soldiers lost or wounded?

It's a shame they are having to defend themselves from an invading army isn't it?

If anyone invaded this country we wouldn't just say here........ Have what you've taken....... Just leave us the rest until you decide you want more.

It ends when Russia goes back to is borders or when Ukraine decides it's had enough. Those are the options, until then we help David beat Goliath if we can. It's literally that simple.

Maybe this time the Wagner Group won’t “accidentally on purpose” wander across the wrong line and take an absolute beating

And this is the real reason for Prigozhin running his pie hole earlier today claiming victory. He’ll hand the situation off to the regular army and bug out, then screech in outrage when they continue to lose ground. Text from an AFP post was given earlier on Prigozhin’s claim. Here is the whole chain though.

I guess it could be possible, but would be incredibly intensive. Probably around the clock, 24/7, studying, two sorties a day, no days off. It’s intensive enough for nearly a year of training even after graduating from UPT. Of course, the pilots that might train under this format would likely already be fairly experienced and proficient fighter pilots.

Is a year required for type cross training on an experienced pilot or for new pilots with no experience in a similar type? Like right out of basic flight training?

UPT (initial undergraduate pilot training) is right at a year and then your assigned aircraft coming out of UPT is around a year, maybe 9 months or so. @SpaceCoastVol could probably give you a better idea as things may have changed through the years. I went the civilian route because I had to when my pilot slot got wiped out due to budget cuts post Desert Storm. I had two cousins a couple of years older than me, that were already in. At that time upt was a year and their first fighter, both F-16 guys, was about the same training footprint. I mean, they could probably get guys/gals trained in four months that are already proficient. Training on a new airplane at the airlines is only a bit more than a month by the time a line check pilot signs you off.

Lol quite the accomplishment for a world super power. 224 days!!! Lol. Do you know how big this area is? Lol. It's less than 1/10 the size of Atlanta. Hahaha.
There’s no corroboration even supporting the claim. They’re declaring victory and bugging out after flailing and getting their teeth kicked in for 224 days. Remember just last Thursday even Prigozhin admitted the Russians cut tail and ran 😂
