Oh I know. I knew he would be in here to do a victory lap. I just wanted to make sure he knew how embarrassing this victory lap is, even while being disputed, and embarrassing this is for Russia. They captured Dekalb county Ga in 224 days. Ha

SHIRLEY some of these pilots are already being trained somewhere in the West. Or maybe it's just dumb to believe someone in NATO could think ahead.

Like another poster chimed in if they are already experienced Mig-29 pilots they’ll likely require less training time.

Different systems designed with different purposes. Iron Dome was designed to counter a missile threat. The Patriot system was originally designed to replace Hawk and Nike systems - which meant to counter aircraft and potentially cruise missiles. It was later upgraded to take on missiles and appears to do a pretty good job of it. You are also talking about a system developed and initially introduced in the 70s and 80s working against planes and missiles 40 years newer.

OK. So? The Patriot system that you yourself claim serves a dual purpose of defending against aircraft and missiles is being replaced with the single use missile defense system (Iron Dome).

I'm not sure what point you are trying to make other than you seem to want to point out the Iron Dome's limitations?

As the Western coalition continues to ratchet up weapons support for Ukraine--long-range missiles, Abrams tanks coming, F16s coming, 8+ battalions training in combined arms, further tightening of sanctions, onging sabotage activities in the Donbas--Russia will come under steadily increasing pressure.

The PAC-3 missile I’m pretty sure is tuned to the hypersonic ballistic missile intercept as we saw in the SCUD intercepts in 1991. And the Kinzhal is nothing more than a really fast SCUD. We took what we learned from the SCUD intercepts in 1991 with the PAC-2 and developed the PAC-3. As much as the bald dwarf wants it the Kinzhal is nowhere near the Chinese DF-ZF hypersonic glide vehicle level of weapon.

Oh and that 1970’s US technology seems to be able to counter the latest Russian junk pretty well 😂
