War in Ukraine

If things continue as they are now, they may retreat to Berlin again...

I was in Berlin on business not long after Germany reunited. A lot of things stuck in my mind like landing at Templehoff, seeing the Brandenburg Gate, walking down the Unter den Linden, walking by a fenced in Russian Embassy, seeing pockmarked buildings around the Reichstag, buying a cup for my wife in a shop inside what was the Adlon Hotel, etc. But the one thing that stood out to me was that W Berlin was a crap hole - unsmiling, unfriendly people, kids you wouldn't want to brush against for fear of getting something you don't want, graffiti all over the place. However, for all the ruin, E Berlin was clean and the people were smiling, I guess finally getting rid of Russian stench will do that for people.

USSR/Soviets lost. USA won. WTF is your problem, Boomer?

Lol. You simpletons

Yes Putin invaded Ukraine because of the talk about NATO membership and the fact he wasn't interested in having NATO on his doorstep. But explain to me how Putin invading Ukraine is now a problem? Where was the outrage during the Obama administration when he took Crimea? Ukraine is and will always be a corrupt place and the US has no business/ interest in this conflict. Other than the government contract of 6-7 companies and political leaders with $ interests.

Heh.

Let me be clear I don't support Russia now nor did I support them in 2014.

Having said that, the above numbers may be accurate but Ukraine has shown throughout history they can't be trusted. So I will pump the breaks on casualties as totalled by Ukraine Armed forces.

What @NCFisher left out of his rant was the fact that the CIA/US Govt funded Bandera in the 1940s/1950s as they were conducting terror operations in the USSR. So yes, they do have a recent history of attacking Russians/Soviets (with the US as a sponsor).

Ukraine: The CIA’s 75-year-old Proxy

On the occasion of the German invasion of the Soviet Union, the OUN put up posters in the western Ukrainian city of Lvov that read:

Do not throw away your weapons now. Take them in your hands. Destroy the enemy.…People! Know! Moscow, Poland, the Hungarians, the Jews are your enemies. Destroy them!…Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Heroes! Glory to the Leader! [Bandera]
Notably, this call for ethnic cleansing does not cite the Germans then occupying Ukraine, yet the fascist and neo-Nazi propagandists who are waging a war in the Donbas region today portray their forebearers as heroes for having defended Ukrainian nationalism from the Soviets and Germany. The Pentagon successfully pressed Congress to lift restrictions on training and providing military assistance to groups, such as the Azov Battalion, that are based on fascist or neo-Nazi ideology.
That guy you keep referencing, Banderra, spent 3 or 4 years in Nazi jail, during WW2 because the Nazis wouldnt recognize an independ Ukraine like he was promised.
