War in Ukraine

This war is such a strategic error by Putin, that his pride and even preservation of his life will prevent any peaceful resolution. Escalation is my biggest concern.

if they have the calls they need to release them. That is pretty scary stuff.

and I would be really interested to know where exactly this happened. the graphics show out in the Black Sea east and south of Ukraine, closer to Turkey than anywhere else. but that may not be accurate.

apparently that was a year ago. that is an act of war against NATO and changes my position on this topic if they were in international airspace.

Hey @Rasputin_Vol, what gives? Your "I cannot tell a lie" Russian outlets said all the sea drones were destroyed. Ukraine saying they caused damage. Guess it's just more Ukrainian lies, right?

And sure enough, the Russians lied. The infrared video clearly shows a "hot spot" on the hull, indicating that at least one sea drone made contact. Russians. Always. Lie.

You war mongering leftist filth and GOPe trash are blind and ignorant and willfully lining the pockets of the corrupt.

US Secretary of State Tony Blinken, “Has major skin in the game when it comes to continuing this war. He founded a firm called WestExec Advisors, which finesses contracts for the arms industry and Big Tech through the Pentagon and the State Department – him and his former colleagues from the Obama Administration founded this firm to profit off their connections with the major winners of the Ukraine proxy war: Raytheon, LockheedMartin, Palantir – all the Beltway Bandits, as we call them here in Washington.”

Seems both you and knuckle-dragger Max Blumenthal did exactly ZERO research on this issue.

Per Politico on January 4, 2021:

"Blinken has entered into a term sheet to sell his stake in WestExec, which is valued at between $500,000 and $1 million, according to the disclosure. He also plans to divest his stake in WestExec Ventures, a sister venture capital firm, according to the filing. His stake in WestExec Ventures is valued at between $1 million and $5 million."

Blinken subsequently became Sec'y of State on January 26, 2021.

NET/NET: Blinken left WestExec and sold his shares, and he didn't make a dime off the Ukraine war.

If you had dug deeper in the article his leftist filth comrades at WestExec are still raking in millions from the Ukraine war and Blinken made millions providing weapons to Ukraine during the Obozo/Slo Joe communist reign.

If I had dug deeper I'm sure I would have found Jimmy Hoffa.

Translation: "Blumenthal is wrong, but I don't even care"

I guess in your world the Ukrainians must be wrong also.

Their comedian-in-Chief shares a lot in common with the DC corrupt elites. I’ll be here in the end to tell you and the rest of the ignorant that the Ukraine war was a total failure and a giant waste of American taxpayer $

Please do tell me how this has anything to do with Blumenthal being 100% incorrect in the article that he wrote?

"in the vicinity"

I guess this is an Article 5 moment, right? What will NATO do?
Hopefully we don't find out. If we do, your comrades will not enjoy it all. We will establish air superiority immediately and then it is game on. After about 5-8 B-2 sorties, the road to the Crimean coast will be wide open.

Wait... how can these two things be true at the same time?

On the one hand...
Russia has managed to overcome sanctions and export controls imposed by the West to expand its missile production beyond prewar levels, according to U.S., European and Ukrainian officials, leaving Ukraine especially vulnerable to intensified attacks in the coming months.
Russia’s re-energized military production is especially worrisome because Moscow has used artillery to pound Ukrainian soldiers on the front lines, and its missiles to attack the electric grid and other critical infrastructure, and to terrorize civilians in cities. Officials fear that increased missile stocks could mean an especially dark and cold winter for Ukrainian citizens.

But just a couple of days ago...

So I'm confused... is Russia begging North Korea for ammunition as Milley said or do the Russians have more than enough domestic production?

*head scratcher*

I just don't understand... I thought Bakhmut was a strategically insignificant location?

Russia's Defence Ministry said its forces had repelled eight attacks in the east in hotly contested areas south of Bakhmut.

Ukraine's Deputy Defence Minister, Hanna Maliar, said Kyiv's forces were making gains around three villages south of Bakhmut - including Andriivka.

"Progress has been made there," she said on the Telegram messaging app.

Maliar initially reported that Andriivka had been brought under Ukrainian control, but later said that was inaccurate as fighting was still raging around the village.

Russian forces captured Bakhmut in May after months of battles left the city in ruins. Ukrainian forces have since been chipping away at Russian positions, notably south of Bakhmut.

Poland, Romania, and the Baltic’s launched an invasion of Russia? Must have missed that in the news cycle.
The UK in Romania/Black Sea area...

And military exercises also going on at this time...

Sea Breeze 2023-3 is scheduled to run from Sept. 11-15, 2023, in Constanta, Romania. This is a land and sea-based exercise with multinational Allies and Partners, aimed to enhance the capabilities of Black Sea and Partnership for Peace maritime security forces while progressively training and preparing the Ukraine Maritime Command staff.

Seems like an opportune time for the UK to use Romania as a place to attack Crimea...
