Russia invaded Ukraine 3 years ago, instead of negotiating an agreement.

Someone knocks down the front door of your house, enters, kills your kids and it is your fault for having a house with a MAGA flag hanging from it. Furthermore they charge you with killing the invader.

Some of the answers are not making any sense. Let's decide this peacefully, you give up 2 rooms in your home forever and we will call it even. Don't worry about the dead ones but sorry we cannot bring them back to life so suck it up. Real Simple Logic. If you don't comply we will continue to pound you to death.

Look for N Korea to do the same with S. Korea in a few years.
We are picking fights with Canada and Mexico.
We now have some incompetence in high stakes roles.

We are stringing ourselves out, militarily and financially. Something is missing.

This crap doesn't happen under Reagan's watch at all. It happened under Biden and Trump's watch. So at least admit to that. This is what happens when you elect weak, very weak Presidents that are unfit for office.

In 2014 Russia invaded with armed forces and soldiers, remember those soldiers with arms rounding up people to vote in favor of joining Russia? And it happened under Obama and Biden's watch, who did absolutely nothing. You cared so much then that you don't even remember.

Russia is no threat to the US outside of a nuclear exchange, China is the only country that can challenge us on the world stage.

For anyone to challenge the USA (conventionally), they would need a solid navy.

Right now, the French Navy is more of a threat to the USA than the Russian Navy.

China's navy isn't there either, it is growing. However, China's big headache is India. Both are basically building navies to focus on each other. Every time China builds a ship, India tries to match it. Both are also trying to scoop up naval bases throughout the India and Pacific Oceans.

Russia has no hope to attack the USA in a conventional sense. The only weapon they can hit the USA with is Nuclear Weapons and perhaps EMP strikes. If you are at that level, it is MADD and End of World setup.

I don't even think China has the conventional equipment to match USA. China is an economic threat and to me, more of a long-term threat.

USA doesn't have the land army to invade China and Russia so any war (if conventional) would be a stale mate with USA trying to utilize its navy to destroy the economies of its opponents similar to what the UK did in WW1 to Germany.

A war with Russia will be nuclear in nature. They can't come close to winning a conventional war. I understand that but if that is where you want to go to change the disagreement then so be it. Does Russia use nuclear weapons, they are capable.
Not a whole lot you can do to stop it except strike back.

We're not picking fights with Canada. Don't be so dramatic. Fact is, if America and Europe were really serious, troops would have been in the ground that 1st year into the war. Instead supposedly supplied them weapons that could have slowed the inevitable take over. Now the blank check is gone and Europe suddenly wants to be brave. Let Europe send troops to help fight, they have the most to lose.
