War in Ukraine

I’m sure they’d love an opportunity, but I’m guessing it’s almost impossible for one our guys to do a job like that. It’s not going to be a Jason Bourne type of guy that’s gonna get him. If it were to happen It would probably be someone close to Putin or a high level official that’s been recruited over the years/decades. Hopefully it will be some high level official who is taking part in a coup to restore order and Putin sees the inside of Lubyanka. That would be a fitting ending for a KGB Agent.

Operational success is not the barrier to assassination of Putin.

It is the geopolitical norm between the great/nuclear powers. Instant justified war.

The largest holder of US debt is US citizens (whether we want it or not). Yes China holds a chunk but like they always say you owe the bank $10,000 you have a problem you owe them $1,000,000 the bank has a problem.

One country holding part of another's debt is one thing - collecting is another. China doesn't abide by international law - S China Sea islands are a case in point. The only way I see that China gets any return is by staying on good terms with us ... or getting big pallets of cash in the middle of the night curtesy of our dems. The other unfortunate part is that we were stupid enough to put ourselves in a position that we need stuff that we used to manufacture before shipping our industry off to China, so we'd have to either come up with the resolve to fix that or continue to play BOHICA.

Russian troops are now encircling Ukraine, and meeting stiff resistance. Top Russian targets likely include the Presidential Palace at the heart of the city, and one of the remaining airports after Antonov Airport's runways were intentionally destroyed

Does this really favor the invaders? The Ukrainians seem to be very steadfast, hopefully we can have a bunch of them come to our country as refugees. We have enough gardeners and landscapers, we need some smart people to immigrate. Of course, I'm sure the potato head will block them because most of them are white.

What I am talking about has nothing to do with their steadfastness, I am just saying there is no where to hide like there was in Vietnam and Afghanistan.

It's all about money. China is cheap labor, and Americans want a fair wage. Corporations will always take short cuts in chase of that all-mighty dollar.

Money has to go around in a circle to keep an economy going. When you break the chain and send it elsewhere, one or more segments of the economy collapse. In this case we lost a lot of the manufacturing sector, and there's no way that doesn't catch up with the result that companies can't sell what people can't afford. Henry Ford had thoughts about products, their affordability, and his worker's ability to buy them; somewhere our business types have never understood or have forgotten the symbiotic relationship between producers and consumers and employees as consumers ... or maybe as long as they get huge personal short term plunder, they simply don't care about raping the country and selling it down the road.
