I just still do not see the end game for Putin. Once he enters Kiev and occupies it, then what? The civilian carnage that will ensue will demand an international response. What is he going to do, maintain some occupational force or take it and demand international acceptance and withdrawal after some non NATO agreement?

Couldn’t is a bit misleading, did and could 99% of the time but had no end game. The North was willing to sacrifice every fighting age soldier male or female to win, the US wasn’t. The terrain was a major obstacle in the Vietnam War but urban combat if fought correctly is just as frustrating

Like I posted above Lend Lease 2.0.

We’ve got a bunch of ragged out Abrams, Bradleys, Apaches, and Blackhawks that will rotate back to depot for reman. Instead just fly them to Poland, instruct the Ukrainians on how to use them, throw them the keys and write them off. And then don’t replenish them just lower the levels since if Eastern Europe can rid the world of Putin we shouldn’t need them for a while.

Throw in a few hundred Hellfire, TOW, and Jsvelin missiles to boot.

Putin has to go now. He cast that die himself. And that’s the best ROI I can see for any money spent on anything right now outside our own borders.

We could ask the peaceful taliban to turn over to Ukraine everything we left in Afghanistan.
