Thanks for not chopping my head of.I want to put this out there to the group here. I think a lot of you are being too hard on Ras. Many of the points he is making are very valid. In fact, you’d hear many of them echoed by Russian citizens and even some living in present day Ukraine. You’d also hear about some atrocities committed by the Ukrainians against their own Russian speaking citizens.
Our sphere of influence in that part of the world is seen as menacing and threatening to the long term survival of Russia. We might feel the same way if Mexico and Canada both fell under the influence of Russia.
It in no way validates their invasion of Ukraine. What has already gone down has been horrible and may make Putin’s leadership untenable going forward. Especially with the current nuclear threats. It may not change a thing in how this current threat plays out, but an understanding of how we got here might mitigate further conflict in the future.
All I really want to point out is what Ras has to say is valid discussion material and shouldn’t necessarily be interpreted as Rad being a Russian sympathizer.
For the record, I still say Vlad is a bad hombre and he needs to be dealt with. Preferably by the Europeans. The man is a danger to humanity.
OMG...Thank you so much...I hate the lefty green commie scumbag idiots. They are literally stealing from me every time I have to buy gas and food by artificially causing higher prices to install their imbecilic EV agenda-That the federal government put energy standards in place for 2030 that are not reachable with any known technology?
-That there are no existing hypothesis for a technology that can meet those goals?
-that artificially ruining our current energy situation, at the same time improving the enemy’s energy situation will somehow give us the ability to pull that technology from our collective asses?
The larger “point” is that to say “necessity breeds…..” anything at this “point”…..this artificially created “point” is in fact stupid
I hate you and every other one of you that support this You are all thieves for what you are doing to people like me.No, that higher gas prices eventually will price in the economy of energy alternatives that are no economically viable. And I think over time what we see in such situations is that as producers prepare to fill that need, the costs come down. See e.g. battery technology for EVs.
I think artificially crimping gas/oil supply by implementing an aggressive anti-fossil fuel agenda to force prices higher, therefore screwing hundreds of millions of low middle class people into barely survibing territory is f'n criminal. I hate you...every last f'n one of green commie bastardsHuh?
You don't think that advances in technology would lead to alternative energy sources?
I do think that we need to indicate to Russia if they pull out of Ukraine and pursue a peaceful solution, we will drop the sanctions. Hopefully that will calm down the Nuclear Warfare talk.
