France was rattling sabers earlier about defending Ukraine if they were invaded by Russia, maybe they grew a set, or they're just figuring the British and Americans will come and back up their pansy asses again.

Threat or not...you don't go to war with Russia. If I'm Russia or any adversary, I look at this buffoonish administration and see it's the same red line administration as before. The last time they went into Ukraine.

It has nothing to do with buffoonishness of this administration. No US President would go to war with Russia over this issue, and Putin knows that.

He's weighing actions and their consequences and knows that the consequences of doing nothing (potential NATO expansion) outweigh the consequences of invading (sanctions, weapons being supplied to Ukraine, etc.).

Dude there is no way I can quote that. Basically he said they could take all of Ukraine but it will be expensive if they don’t just limit it to eastern Ukraine but they could hold Ukraine for months, 2 years 10 years mumble mumble.

We shouldn’t lose a single life. But I don’t see any reason to not help the Ukrainians make the invading Russians lose as many lives as possible that’s all.

War to protect Ukraine should never be an option for us but since Europe is dependent on Russian NG they can’t even cut off Putin’s money.

Putin is making this move because he fears NATO and the US. He didn't have to do anything with Trump in office. He had nothing to fear. In fact Trump was trying to weaken NATO for him. So I don't agree with your assessment.

I listen to Wilkow on SirusXM daily...He is excellent. He spoke about how all these supposed "foreign policy" experts at the highest level are seen as FP savants, yet things always go sour.

Of course nobody remembers amateur Trump and his team getting Arab support and recognition of Israel and at least Jimmy Carter and his only success could accomplish that (my thoughts).
