War in Ukraine

Forgive my ignorance, but does Ukraine really have no planes capable of hitting the line of ducks on the road? It doesn't sound like Russia has control of the skies...
The SU-25 was made for that mission and they just got some EU replenishment. That is their A-10 and it’s a damn good ground attack aircraft.

It's all well and good to say he "has to go," but how do you propose to make him go? We contained the Soviets without destroying the world. We can contain Putin too.
In your opinion, what do you think was the reasoning behind the decision of calling any deal that prohibits Ukraine from NATO as a "nonstarter"? Why were they (whoever "they" are) so adamant about that? Was it just hubris and ego? Ignorance? Or just part of geopolitical? gamesmanship?

Yeah, I keep hearing that Russia doesnt own the skies but only a suicidal idiot commander would allow a huge target I mean convoy to just wander slowly through the middle of Ukraine unless they know that damnation is not going to rain down from above. So we may think Ukraine has something in the skies but at least right now, the Russians seem to think they do own the skies at least over the supply lines.

Well, after reading this interview with Fiona Hill, we should all be worried. He will most likely go full retard. There’s a damn good chance we see nuclear strikes from this.
‘Yes, He Would’: Fiona Hill on Putin and Nukes
Lets see... Fiona Hill, who testified in Trump's 1st impeachment trial blabbering about Russian interference in 2016 and beyond is now stirring up fear about nuclear armageddon. OK...

So when the Russians decide they've had it with said flights, you think they'll check their response at the Polish border?

If they are smart, they would. Even if flown from Ukrainian soil, the planes, munitions, fuel, etc will still come from outside Ukraine; so it's still a matter of semantics and degrees. Another option would be to fly fully armed planes from another country, land in Ukraine and top off the fuel, and the flight "originated" on Ukrainian soil. If the military supplies come from outside Ukraine then isn't a little like Hiliary's "at this point, what difference does it make"?

Yeah, NS. A lot of that road looks to have very little in the way of wiggle room. Literally, ducks on a pond.

So much of this invasion has been very, very strange.

Or as Trump would call it, how to run a business. No wonder Trump calls Putin "savvy"

You know somewhere there are people buying rubles like crazy right now - if not they are just waiting a little until they feel the time is ripe. Could be plenty are in the US - might be some in congress - especially if they are thinking of future aid to Russia (and don't bet against it).

What a load of 🦬💩...Russia savagely invaded their small poor neighbor just because they didn't want to be under the Russian thumb.

I don't understand you people.
It’s not about me condoning or supporting what Russia’s done. I’m taking my feelings of right and wrong out of the equation and trying to dispassionately determine what is best for our country and what is best for our children and so on. I believe us having an amicable relationship with Russia in which their is virtually zero possibility of nuclear conflict achieves that. Do we want to be the generation that has a nuclear war happen? Almost everyone will die and those that didn’t will wish that they did

Yes, it is. Watch potentially 100K+ people killed in each of the large cities because we are afraid to act or act and not worry about that less than 5% chance Putin will try to launch something.

We just shut down entire countries , ruined economies, forced mandates , closed up private businesses, give blanket amnesty on liability for a brand new drug for huge corporations, had government agencies tell the public that they wouldn’t release info because we couldn’t be trusted with it over something that was 1%-2% . If I’ve learned anything in the last three years based on how far people in power are willing to go , it would be that a 5% chance is a huge number .
