It is big difference between having advisors and trainers vs actually having Russian troops trading fire. That's why I gave both of you guys every opportunity to clarify your posts.

So Trump is called a Russian puppet. Then we find out that was all a lie with Hillary at the helm. He had us energy dependent for the first time in 50 years and exporting oil.If we’re gonna prop up a bunch of Commie authoritarians we should buy Venezuelan oil then. Hell at least keep the money close to home.
And wow at our idiot asses buying Russian oil.
Hearing plausible reasons for Putin taking action and not.
For: has invested considerable $$$$ in staging equipment and personnel - an expensive bluff. Spring will make the move very difficult - now or next year.
Against: relationship with China would create major tensions if he distracts from Olympics (which he has plans to attend).
Also seems Germany is waffling between their source of energy and NATO sensibilities.

Biden cancels the pipeline, fracking, and starts buying oil from Russia.
Who is the Russian puppet again?
My biggest against: Cannot politically or economically afford an invasion. Staging a force in nation involves nothing but fuel, which he has plenty.
Just think it a bluff IMO

He moved forces from the other coast there. He's mobilized heavy armor. It's more the fuel.
Now working against him is the Spring thaw so if it's a bluff he better get what he wants in the next several weeks or his bargaining position weakens considerably. Also, the energy threat to W Europe is most severe now.
What would that be? If road and rail...then I don't see it.
all the logistics to move heavy military equipment, supply lines, accommodating troops who are being moved from across a vast country. they aren't shifting resources from the western front where they could be needed against NATO troops. if they invade they also need also the support effort in place to sustain/replenish.
i think the reason it's being taken so seriously is because of how many resources Russia has committed
So many, what’s the word… coincidencesYou hit the nail on the head. The fact they are pulling resources from areas closer to North Korea than Europe is what is driving the fears. None of this is routine or normal even for regular exercises. The Russians are masters of maskirovka or deception. Often using "exercises" as cover for military deployments. What do we have in Belarus in February? Joint military training and we have said consistently that an invasion could happen in January or February. February 20th is the closing day of the Olympics and the end date of the Belarusian/Russian drills...
Who'd think a guy named Rasputin_Vol would have a hard on for Putin?Lol. Russian led. Think that was organic?
You are so gullible.
Who'd think a guy named Rasputin_Vol would have a hard on for Putin?
Remember, only Western globalists are bad people and act with bad intentions. Anybody that stands in their way is, by definition, good. I kind of wonder if Ras is that American guy on RT Peter Lavelle.
Germany appears to be Putin's "out" if he needs one. Smart diplomatically. U.S. allies are stepping up to counter Russia's Ukraine threats — with a notable exception
