Sure I do. And I do plenty for other people on a daily basis.
It's called choosing a profession. I always hoped my kids would avoid the military because I never wanted them in the position of being forced to fight in a war which was unjustifiable. And I never had enough faith in our country's ability to determine what was justifiable and what was not.

Bravado only extends when it's not their child or relative involved in a conflict where they might risk one of their lives.

I don't know, this COVID nonsense has shown me that some people would sacrifice their kids for an ideology or an agenda. Look how many people went out and fought to be the first ones to get their kids jabbed up? How many times were we told to go through all kinds of measures in order to save grandma? At no other time have we seen a willingness of the older generations to sacrifice the generations coming behind them.

I think @luthervol likely would push his kids to the front of the line and get on social media to virtue signal to his friends.

The vast majority of people join the military as a means to receive job training and or pay for college with the understanding they must be willing to fight to defend the country. They don't join so pompous asses with no skin in the game can send them off to war in a foreign country to make themselves feel better. Until your ready to put your kids asses on the line do not volunteer other peoples kids.
