We have a military comprised of volunteer adults. My feelings on sending my kids into said situation should be absolutely irrelevant to the powers that be deciding what is best in terms of using the military to defend the interests of this nation.Don't ask for war unless you are willing to send your son/daughters to do the fighting.
No, what is your point? What? My son chose to not join the military. I don't want him trying to pull over a drunk driver because he chose not to be a LEO.
I don't want him performing surgery because he chose not to be a surgeon. I don't want him representing someone in court because he chose not to be a lawyer.....I guess you get the point.
Well, it is Ft. Jackson.FWIW my girlfriend's 22 YO daughter is in her 4th week of Army bootcamp @ Ft. Jackson, GA. Beat every damn guy in her squad in the physical tests last week. Friggin millennial guys... come on man!
At any rate, yeah, we support no American boots on the ground. Hope we avoid WWIII. In the meantime, send the kitchen sink over there materiel wise.

Is Hitler and Chamberlain going to be the template of how every conflict in the future will be? Or can we be honest and admit that the situation was an outlier? And really, the ramifications of Archduke Ferdinand's assassination was a one off. When did it become appropriate for countries to declare war on Hitler's Germany? Only when they were attacked?
Today has revealed that people on both sides of the aisle have a lack of respect and appreciation for their fellow man.None of those professions equate to military service. Maybe that is the issue, you dont value nor understand military service. Ahh, we sprung a leak over in Ukraine, send the plumber.
This is why the MIC runs so much and makes googols of money off us.
The military leaders absolutely should take into consideration public support.
Save me this faux concern about women and children when you and your political peers were out here wanting forced experimental jabs on people and willing to ruin their livelihoods if they did not comply. And the countless tens of thousands or possibly hundreds of thousands that could have been saved by allowing alternative treatments outside of the approved FDA/CDC list of treatments.Nope, nor is it to sit idly by and watch invasion of another country with the slaughter of thousands of innocent women and children out of fear of provoking the invader.
Are you daft or something? War as a last resort to defend the US or as a result of an attack on us.
Yes those are silly and outrageous, just making the point to the extreme.
It is oft made statement around here , something to the effect of “if you ain’t willing to go” or “would you send yer kids”.
It is outlandishly stupid. We have a volunteer army. It’s use should be activated when it meets out parameters for use and emotions should be irrelevant.
