War in Ukraine

If they were so desperate to be Russian citizens, they could have moved.

Russia has no more right to annex the territory they occupy than Mexico has to annex El Paso.
Crimea has been Russian longer than Texas has been a part of America. Only because of the break up of the Soviet Union was it even still left to Ukraine.

Might is right. Welcome to all of history.

Are you trying to utilize this strategy in these forums, disregarding actual facts and inserting your perceptions?

Seriously, is it hard to type all this nonsense while one of your hands is juggling pootins nuts?

You are just ruling out or ignoring the US use of mercenaries and us dumping arms to both ISIS and the Free Syrian Army. What difference does an official US military attack in May 2017 mean if we have armed mercenaries in the area going back 5-6 years?

No, we clearly took a side against Assad with training and material. What indication is there we used mercs to aid FSA?

Are you really asking what's the difference between U.S. coalition forces not hitting pro-Assad forces until 2017-18? The difference of him surviving, most likely in addition to obliquely giving him massive help against IS. Aside from congressional hawks chirping, there doesn't appear to have been any intent to remove Assad.

Remember when the press lied about hands up don't shoot? That was fun. Or when they said Trump praised white supremacists at Charlottesville as fine people by only giving part of his quote? Ahh, the good ol days. Back when free speech really meant something.

Remember when they didn't' throw journalists in jail for 15 years for not agreeing with everything the president said?

You're trying too hard to equivocate apples and Buicks. They aren't the same thing - stop digging, no one is buying your hyperbole.

I'm torn with Snowden, on one hand I'm grateful he did what he did (although nothing changed because of it) and wished he would have released it all on the web and stayed here to face the music. On the other I'm afraid that he has been used by Russia and China, possibly has crossed that traitor line.

Exactly where I've been on him since the big reveal.

I couldn’t care less what Israel does. Feel free to start a thread and debate it there.

Low bar whataboutisims is all he has to help justify his position.

He brings up America's shi**ty behavior as a comparison not realizing it's a self defeating position because he hates that America did it too. Dumb af.

That word salad didn't even address what I stated. I made a clear distinction between the Nazi wannabees and the average Ukrainian.

So, we agree that dead Russian invaders & separatists are the silver lining with Aryan groups killing them.
Now we're getting somewhere.

You’ve been making excuses for Russian behavior and are now basically just acknowledging there’s no real moral or ethical excuse. They just want the territory and assumed their bigger army would win.

Replace Crimea with Austria and the Donbas with the Sudetenland and you see where the logic of invading on behalf of your “mistreated minority” gets you.

They have reason, but they also have might. This is why I say Ukraine should accept a reasonable ceasefire. Then you guys lose your minds because you think a magic fairy (no not @Septic with his homo-erotic fantasies) is going to come in and save Ukraine from the inevitable ass kicking they are getting from a mightier power.

Welcome to reality, some of you should live in it. Russia tried diplomacy but Zelensky couldn't find a phone book thick enough to get his head above the table and felt embarrassed so they never showed up. Russia said to hell with and now, what do we have, some attempts at diplomacy from Ukraine.

You're the one who linked an article about Trump proposing to make libel laws stronger. I was responding to that.

Lol the only thing Russia tried was to insulate their economy from inevitable sanctions and they failed miserably. Putin was always going to invade Ukraine after they threw out his puppet. Ukraine’s options were being a Belarus style client state or being invaded.

Homoerotic? Did I say something that turned you on? Does someone mopping the floor with your intellect give you a little chub? You have a little masochist kink?

LOL, seriously though... Watching you flounder with your nutty explanations and half witted justifications are light work. Hell even my usual sparring partners are exponentially more challenging than you and they're making you look like a goof too.

Tell us more about the free and fair democracy and all the journalistic freedom Russians enjoy.

Hmmm. Maybe this is the meat of the problem. Apparently Zelinsky is only 5'7", and Putin is estimated to be between 5'1" and 5'5" ... but claims 5'7". Could it all be nothing more than the Napoleon complex, and Putin losing out to a short guy who is still taller than Putin? Maybe it's why the long table Putin uses - smoke and mirrors to make him look big, and nobody gets close enough to know what Putin's personal issues are. Being the heathen and anti authoritarian that I am, I'd propose calling Putin "Russia's dwarf despot".

The thing about Putin is he will drop **** on you as he backs away, as an escape. He'll throw **** while he is running, very much like "Boris" the cartoon.

I don't know the answer to that but if you attack your neighbors and you lose maybe they should be able to carve a little for themselves

As I recall the Israeli's took some of that land as a protective measure because their enemies used them as staging bases ... and in the case of the Golan Heights a perfect place to look down on and shell Israel. Makes perfect sense to capture and hold territory if your enemy is using it for terrorist operations. Tit for tat in a way.
