War in Ukraine

It's as if no one realizes we're in a bit of debt already. But hey, what good are US taxpayers if their politicians can't waste a bunch of money overseas?

Pfffft.

$800,000.000.00 is a drop in the well.
$2,100,000,000,000.00 is what we spent on our Afgan festivities.

This doesn't make sense because, per Tucker Carlson, Candace Owen, and Rasputin Vol this is just Putin protecting against NATO expansion.

The last member to join, by the way, was North Macedonia. Evidently the straw that broke the camel's back.
Why do I think you look and act like Blinken in real life?

How do you fill a well? One drop at a time

True. But...

We spend 2.1 trillion on Afghanistan and lose 2,500 American soldiers as revenge for 3,000 killed in NY.

In contrast, we spend 800M and lose 0 American soldiers in exchange for stopping Russian cold.

Which is wiser policy?

True. But what's more important... money or lives?

800M and 0 American deaths in exchange for bottling up Russia.

Bargain.

In contrast, we spent 2.1 trillion on Afghanistan and 2,500 KIA soldiers as revenge for 3,000 killed in NY
Unless Ukraine is paying taxes it doesn't matter. It's not their money. That also creates a ridiculous responsibility if you believe US tax dollars need to go to saving all lives worldwide. They don't and if they're spent they should be spent at home. No Ukrainian welfare programs

It's laughable to think this will only cost $800mil. There's no war going on so some people are getting on edge and need to hit numbers

You're right about the cost of this war... more to come. But keep the big picture in mind... if Russia takes Ukraine, what's next? We'll get sucked into whatever results.
